I bought this orange zest to make moroccan coffee: coffee, 1T orange zest and a small cinnamon stick in the filter basket...brew and add half and half....enjoy!

Love this product. No more running out last minute for an orange to zest. Convenient and more concentrated than fresh zest.

This orange seasoning just arrived for me to add to orange cookie recipe. UGH! What a disappointment. With a damp finger tip into this granular orange product, I tasted it - barely perceivable orange flavor. The sad thing is it reflects badly on the value of being rated by Amazon as its 'Prime Choice'. My guess is the vendor paid Amazon to give that advertisement blessing? Amazon certainly never tasted this product and gave it this claim. Amazon just lost credibility with me. It is a waste of money. You're much better off to just buy a ripe firm orange and grate off the skin surface yourself for some real fresh orange flavor.

I used this in my sourdough rye bread with caraway seeds and it was delicious.

Zest = the very thin and colorful outermost layer of the orange. Has the highest concentration of the orange oil (oil sacks) which is what gives it scent and flavor. Usually less than 2mm thick.Peel = the entire jacket around the fruit. The zest and the white rind around the fruit. That's the pulpy bitter white stuff under the zest.This is the peel, the entire fruit jacket including the bitter white peel. The word "zest" shouldn't be on the label when you are selling the peel. Therefore, this has a weak scent and flavor. They also don't state anywhere on the label, this product description, or on their website what kind of oranges they use. That's really important. There are over 400 types of oranges grown worldwide and each has differing oil saturation and flavor.
