USB A & C Premium Thumb drive? I've bought 4 total different sizes. GET THESE!
I do believe I found my favorite storage tech brand, affordable, durable, versatile, premium heavy feel, fast, I'm truly trying to find something something I don't like about it to say.. but I can't... started with the 256Gb ssd, loved it, wanted another, so I got a 1Tb stick... live it.. so I got the little external drive that comes with a short usbC to C and a usb A to C... my kid needed one for her new pc build, told her to get one, all in maybe a month or 2. And I'm certainly getting more. I'm just gonna copy paste this same review on the other so drives I got because this review applies to them all.I want MORE. 2Tb next? Yeah... probably..

Easy to set up, worked properly
First impressions of this SSK external storage device are very good. I have had it for less than a day, so I can’t speak to durability or longevity. The device has connectors for a traditional USB port and the more modern USB-C ports. I found it tricky to rotate the cover to expose the part that plugs into a USB-C port. I have destroyed many such parts in the past, so I try to be extra careful. The other end is a traditional USB plug with a cover that can be pulled off. The instructions advise against using cable adapters. This might be an issue if your device has a Lightning connection.I bought the SSK drive to do backups. I use Carbon Copy Cloner, which creates a copy of the MacBook Pro’s disk drive onto the backup media. After I plugged the one-terabyte SSK drive into my 2019 MacBook Pro, the drive almost immediately showed up on the desktop. The CCC program recommended re-formatting the SSK drive. I used Apple’s Disk Utility program to erase and format the SSK drive for a Mac. (Disk Utility comes with all Mac computers.)I set up CCC for a backup. I expected it to take a long time because my hard drive has 664 gigs on its 1TB drive. The backup took 56 minutes. Subsequent backups will take less time because CCC will need only to copy new and changed files. The only problem was that the MacBook Pro lost the connection with the SSK drive. I have had this problem with other external drives, so I do not think the SSK drive was the problem. To fix this, I ejected the SSK drive. After its icon disappeared from the desktop, I removed the SKK drive and re-inserted it into a different USB-C port. I resumed the backup and it finished with no further problems. I do not know if putting the SSK drive into a different port solved the problem. As an added bonus, the SSK drive comes with a nice case that can be put on a keychain. So, I would say so far, so good. Again, the manufacturer recommends against using cable adapters or multi-port adapters. So, make sure your computer has one of the two ports that the SSK drive fits.

High Capacity SSD Thumb Drive.
High capacity thumb drive which will be good for backing up images taken while traveling with my Nikon D850. The large sensor produces very high resolution 46 MB per image pictures that have previously been backed up to a portable hard drive. This solution is much smaller and weighs much less.

Great storage device
Still works after 7 months. I use it to store anime and watch it on a TV and it used to run 24/7 and I have repurposed it for storing games. Be careful to not lose the cap. I lost it and felt like buying a whole another thumb stick but I found it two weeks later. It transfer fast and is better than a hard drive.

Works as advertised
This device can do everything asked of it. Both the price point and the data transfer speeds (on the "A" side) are average. That's not a negative though. I have not had a chance to evaluate the data transfer speeds on the "C" side. What sets this little jewel apart, is that it is able to be used like a thumb drive on both "A" and "C" devices without carrying a separate cord or adapter. That, and it's the real deal. There are some "High Capacity" thumb drives listed here on Amazon that are frauds. This is not one of them. When I got this drive, one of the first things I did, was to fill it almost to capacity. Although the data transfer speeds seemed to drop off a little as the drive neared capacity, it handled everything I threw at it, and I have found no issues with data integrity. To be fair, the slowdown could have been with my computer and not the drive, but either way, the results were perfect. As reported in other reviews, the device does get warm, but not hot. I don't believe there needs to be any concern over this. The device is a little heavy in the hand, and seems to be solid and well built. The cover on the "A" side is a removable cap, and on the "C" side it is a hinged cover that stays attached so it can't get lost. There is always a "Trade off" for both types of covers. The removable caps can be misplaced, and the hinged covers can interfere with the connection on some devices. In tight spaces, or on some devices with covers or protective cases the hinged covers can get in the way. I was unable to make a connection on my Android phone with an "Otter Box". Not because of the hinged cover, but because the drive itself hits the side of the protective cover preventing it from sliding all the way in. It seems that the charging port is slightly off center of the opening on the Otter Box. This may be only an Otter design flaw. If you have a protective case on your phone and intend to purchase this device to work with it, you may want to check that. A short adapter (USB "C" to USB "C") cord would allow you to use the device with your phone if that's the case. These can easily be picked up on Amazon. Just be aware. The listed formatted capacity on my Windows machine is 1.81TB. This is EXACTLY where it should be for a 2TB drive. Anyone who has purchased any type of drive and checked the capacity may have wondered at the discrepancy between the listed capacity and what Windows reports. I do wish the HDD community and Microsoft would get together and use the same measuring method, but that's just not the case. Either way, the math works out, and both sides have a point. The drive comes with a handy slip case with a ring that you can use to either put keys on or attach the case to your existing key ring. Not everyone will use this, but it's a nice touch.I got this drive as a data transfer stick. I tested it using my desktop and a wired NAS Server, but if I need to use it with my phone, I keep "C" to "C" Charging/Data Transfer cords laying all over the house, two in each vehicle for charging and to use with Android Auto; and one each in my laptop bags. When I'm traveling and away from my home network I can use this SSD to carry an impressive amount of data to be used "Off Site" without "blowing up" the small drives on my laptops. Although I'm not a gamer myself, it would also be a handy tool for mobile gaming data. I haven't owned this drive long, and cannot speak for it's longevity, but I transferred a lot of data without corruption; the drive can be filled (almost) to capacity without any major issues and the USB "A" and "C" plugs are very handy. In spite of the negatives that I have mentioned, I would recommend this drive, and give it a thumbs up. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to clear off the junk I put on the drive to test it. I hope this review helped someone. :D

Seems to work well
I have the 2TB SSD stick. Seems to work well. Is fast. Runs warm when backing up, but that's to be expected. I like that it has both types of USB connectors on it USB-C and original as well

Performed well
Work very well, just make sure to format prior to use as mine had something on them (I bought 2 & they both had something on them)
