Not bad for a first book
First of all, a disclaimer. The author is my second cousin but I haven't seen her since she was a child. Our relationship did not color my impression of the book. What happens when two best friends decide to "do it." What led these two devoted people to take the next step? How does the relationship change? Do they regret their actions?Marie and Tim are believable characters. Within a couple of chapters, I was fond of them and wanted to follow their story. I wanted their relationship to work. I wanted to see how they dealt with major shocks like the return of an old girlfriend and an almost-fatal car accident. Marie and Tim did not let me down. This is a first novel for the author. I hope that she keeps writing. She has talent for telling a story. I hope that she gets a better editor next time around, one who understands punctuation. The misplaced commas and quotation marks nearly drove me to distraction. I had to read some paragraphs more than once to realize what is being said. But, really, that's the only flaw, and a minor one at that, in the book. Please give Rose a chance and read this book, even if she is my cousin.

A MUST Read
This book was so good. It literally brought me to tears. With some sadness it also has some very humorous parts too. I'm still laughing at the revolving doors.. It's a must read and good for any age. Her writing is everyday writing. Nothing fancy or stuff you have to look up to figure out what it means. Everyday writing, made it so much fun to read. I read it in one night because I simply couldn't put it down. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good friendship evolving into love. GREAT READ!! Kudos Rose M. Brate. Keep em coming!

I'm not a big romance fan but in these times if it brings a smile to your face that says a lot for the content and that get's a well desreved 5 star from me ! Can't wait to see how those two fare in their future ! Good job writer..........

My Promise to You review
She is an awesome writer and the story is just lovely. I got choked up a couple of times because Tim's character is based on my cousin who in real life is exactly like the character.

My Promise to You
I recommend this book to all that love romance, baseball and fiction. A great author, Rose Brate captured my full attention in the first pages and her writing made me feel the passion and romance of the couple it focused on. A true treasure. I know Rose for we are fellow Reds fans and both authors. as a history professor, I usually read non-fiction. this book has inspired me to write novels. Great work Miss Rosie. your twitter friend
