Lined Patchwork Evening Bag with Hand-dyed Fringe, Embellished with Delicate Hand and Machine Embroidery, Two Velvet Handles and Front Button Fastening

A patchwork of delicately embroidered gold, cream and flocked burgundy fabrics make up the main fabric of this beautiful bag. The fabrics are embellished with a mix of machine embroidery and subtle beading, and are further embellished with a trail of gold hand-embroidered chain stitch. The fringe has been hand-dyed to co-ordinate with the fabrics. The bag is fully lined with a button and buttonhole fastened flap. The two 'rolled' handles are made from bias cut beige velvet. The bag required an extensive amount of delicate work to construct the main fabric and add the additional embroidery, and has been made to the highest standard. It measures 33cm at the base, 27cm at the top, and is 25cm from top to bottom (excluding the 4cm rayon fringe). The two straps are 70cm long. The bag is a 'Victorian' style product and would be perfect as a light evening bag.
