A good, budget-friendly, and well-rounded roof-top cargo carrier!
*Edit - 4/25/2024: After owning this for a while now, I've updated the rating to 5 stars. I took it down on a multi-day road trip from Idaho to Texas with sections driving on dirt and gravel tracks, through rain storms and high winds with >30MPH gusts, and the carrier held up great. No water ingress, the top stayed secure, and stayed easy to open and operate. The arms that hold it up are still a little hard to lock in place without touching them, but they are secure when they are. I was able to fill the space with two tents, a collapsible table, chairs, sleeping bags, and rolled foam pads without many issues. Glad I bought this!------- Original review below -------I bought this roof mounted carrier for my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Sport in preparation for some longer distance road and camping trips I have planned in the near future. I was originally planning on going for a Thule or Yakima carrier, but balked at the extreme prices - even around Black Friday I was looking at $600-900 for a medium carrier! I was then tempted by some of the other budget conscious options available on Amazon, but ultimately I went with this Duraliner one since I've heard of the plastic quality from the bed liners they also make. All things said, it seems to have been a very good choice. The Good:* It's made of an extremely rugged plastic. I've used similar types of plastic for other projects requiring resistance to impacts or abrasion, and they have held up well. This one should also last a while.* Access is easy. As advertised, you can access it from either side and does secure well. There is some quibbles I have with it - I'll touch on that later - but once in position I have no concerns about it shifting back out of position.* Mounting was easy. I did it solo. With the aid of a small collapsible step stool, I was able to put it on the roof rack, center it, and mount the U-bolts.* Seems to be decently weather sealed. The overhang does extend quite a bit past the lip, and the front clip does keep it closed fairly well. I have only tested it in some light rain, so I may end up having to install some weatherstripping later, but as it stands I'm already feeling good about resistance to water from rain both when parked or at-speed.* Locks seem good and latches are metal. Mine came with four keys taped to the inside of the bottom tray, but you only need one to lock/unlock all the locks.* Capacity is as advertised. This set included two tie-down belts, and the interior has enough space for the miscellaneous camping gear or luggage I may have. I specifically didn't want something extremely long since I didn't ski, rather just extra enclosed space to store some equipment, and this fit the bill perfectly. The Annoying:* The arm used to prop the top shell up is a little fiddly. This model has two interlocking arms that fold down when the top shell is closed, and locks in place when extended. If you want to open the cover and have it stay open, the two arms sometimes need some wiggling to get them to lock in position. This is only if you're like me and want to be a little lazy and not reach over to put them in position. If you spend the couple extra seconds to lock the arms in place directly, there's no concerns. The build quality is excellent and the metal arms won't have any issues staying in place. The Other:* The instructions aren't printed out and included. Instead, there's a little card with a QR code printed on it that takes you to the website. Not really a "Bad" since it's easy enough to install the roof cover and it really is fairly self-explanatory, but even a small printout would be a nice addition.* Gas mileage and driving behavior does change. As far as I can tell my MPG is still pretty good, and overall highway driving at 80 MPH is still fine. The greater area exposed when driving does make the car more susceptible to high winds or gusts, but that's to be expected of any roof-mounted cargo carrier. It really didn't affect my driving on or off road at all.Overall I was very happy with this roof top cargo carrier! Good alternative to the more common Thule/Yakima options, and gives me better vibes when compared to some of the other "budget friendly" options available on Amazon.

STURDY, WELL-PRICED CARGO CARRIER
I was pleasantly surprised by the lightweight, yet sturdiness of this vehicle cargo carrier (I was able to install it entirely by myself, although a bit awkward lifting it on top of the vehicle by myself). For the price, I rate it very highly. The cargo is is extra large capacity (as compared to a lot of other cargo carriers on the market -- and is almost half their price!). I purchased it primarily to hold camping equipment and related gear during a cross-country move. It served well for this purpose. And this 12 state, cross-country drive was with a couple days of torrential rain and snow blizzards. To my surprise, and thrill, at the end of the 8 day drive, everything contained inside the cargo carrier was bone dry!The only two issues I have with this cargo carrier are:1) The pre-drilled clamp holes in the bottom of the carrier did not fit the distance between the crossbars on my vehicle's roof rack. But "x's" in the plastic base of the carrier marked exactly where new holes needed to be drilled -- so it was a rather easy fix, one that it seemed the manufacturer had already anticipated!2) The hinges on the cargo carrier seem rather flimsy to hold up the lid of the carrier, and the locking mechanisms are somewhat temperamental -- it sometimes takes a bit of arm juggling to get both hinge clips to grab simultaneously on both sides of the carrier in order to hold up the lid so one can pack items inside. Though a bit of a nuisance at times, it is not a deal-breaker for me. I would still buy this product again if I were doing it all over again.Overall, I rate this roof top cargo carrier very highly, and a good value for the price, especially when compared to the price-point of similar other hard shell cargo carriers. One further note: I originally was going to buy the soft sided bag type of vehicle roof top cargo carriers. These could be purchased for about a third of the price of this subject hard sided cargo carrier. But after driving over 2,400 miles cross-country, I think many of the soft sided bag type cargo carriers would not have survived the weather conditions I ensured on my trip, and surely the contents inside a soft sided bag type cargo carrier would likely have been soaking wet by the time I arrived, and would have required it all to be dried out at my destination. I am very glad I splurged and paid the extra money for this hard sided cargo carrier -- it held up well, everything inside arrived at my destination completely dry, and I now have it to use on countless future camping and road trips. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Sturdy, easy to install, great space and value!
Recently purchased this rooftop carrier and could not be more impressed!I am constantly on the road between commuting to work, weekly trips to our cabin and numerous trips, both short and long distance, to visit family and friends. It seems I always want to keep more stuff in my car than it allows just so I can be ready for anything.Installation was a breeze! The directions were super easy to follow and I was able to install by myself in our parking garage with no problems.I have had multiple different kinds of carriers in the past including the soft bags that you strap down and other hard plastic ones. I was super impressed by the sturdy quality but also light weight of this rooftop carrier making getting on the roof an effortless task.I think one of my favorite features is that it is lockable and able to be opened from both sides, making access to my whatever I need so much simpler than having to dig through to get to the other side.It came with multiple keys and is super easy to lock and unlock. Locks are secure, making travel worry free knowing that all my belonging are safe. This is an huge relief since with others I felt I had to unload or empty upon arrival at hotels, etc to avoid someone being able to take my things. This product has kept all of my belongings dry even while driving through multiple storms and being parked in an open lot during the work day. It is soundless and cannot even tell it is on the roof while driving. This product has a sleeker lower profile than my others making it more accessible in parking ramps but even so provides me with more usable space. This was a great product and value for the price and would highly recommend!
