The hood was heavier than most and wide for its design. I bought it hoping to fit into tighter spots that would be difficult for my larger hood but turned out to be more bulky than my previous hood. It has casting seems all over it and defects on the hood shell. Also the hard hat clips broke the second day of use. Bad hood, bad lens, bad clips, bad buy.

This is a nice hood to use for your hard hat. Fits great and works great.

The flip-up front which holds the #10 lens that is supplied with the helmet will not accept an auto-darkening lens. The slot which you put the clear plastic front shield and then the shaded lens in is not wide enough to put an auto-darkening lens in. It is difficult to file this slot wider. If you intend to use an auto-darkening lens you should look for a different helmet.

Ordered the head gear Amazon paired with my hood and it didn’t even fit the hood has squared holes and the head gear has round pegs. Waist of moneyand time.

So I have two style of these helmets. Bought it in silver with a hard hat adapter. That shell didn’t come with headgear holes because I don’t think it was meant for it. Had to make my own. I recommend getting the headgear ones to start. Then bought the white fiberglass one as they call it with a fixed box and pre installed headgear. It came with the headgear holes. And a Tefuawe stainless rechargeable auto lens fit in it fine with thin Ridge clear plates. May need to double up on the front though to make it tight. But that’s just a habit for me. If you get the box stake right it works just fine. Plastic box keeper keeping everything in is kinda stiff so if you use glass or something fragile when locking it in. Just be careful. It snaps pretty good. Also if I remember it didn’t come with two clear lens. Just one on the front. The fixed shade lens in it is polycarbonate so. If you don’t like poly, recommend getting another lens. Overall like any helmet, after you make it yours it’s a good helmet. Also to note, the flip up you got to widen the lens port to fit an auto dark. I True arc Blue variable will fit after you modify like most helmets for auto dark. Also makes getting glass out easier so just a recommended mod. But the fixed box never had to touch. Tefuawe dropped right in.
