I have several AeroGarden products and was buying their plant food for years. However, since they've closed shop the plant food was difficult to find. Searching the web and Amazon I came upon this product. Voila! What a find! Every bit as effective and FAR less expensive. Instructions clearly spell out the amount to use based on the whole Pod and water volume thing these growing systems use. Even the method of measuring it out is simpler than the AeroGarden stuff. I'll likely be repeatedly buying this for years to come.

I have used these nutrients to successfully grow a variety of hydroponic herbs, greens, and tomatoes. The formula provides all the nutrients required for rapid leaf growth and abundant fruit production. However, I have some issues with the design of the bottles. When I add water and shake the bottles to dissolve the nutrient particles, there is always a little mess because the bottles do not close tightly. Also, the bottle caps are supposed to be little measuring cups, but they are slightly pointed, and so they are unstable if you place them on a flat surface and try to measure the nutrients. As a workaround, I am now transferring the nutrients into different containers and using a syringe for measuring. If the bottles could be improved, I would give this product 5 stars.

The other bottles I've gotten like this come premixed, and it's just one bottle of A and one bottle of B. This comes with two empty bottles, and four packets of A and four packets of B. Add a packet to each bottle, fill with water, shake, and you've got the three more refills. So basically this is twice the price of the single bottles, but comes with four times as much - it's a heckuva a deal.
