Bought two, took them to a PC shop ... neither worked.
I was trying to get my WIN 7 to work with my old Firewire camera, so I bought two cards and took the PC to a pro repair shop. Neither of these worked ... HE finally ordered a third and jiggered with it for weeks off-and-on. HIS finally works ... but I'd warn you away from THESE.

Good enough
Not fast but for the price it gets the job done. Thank goodness for overseas under biders using lowest cost parts to produce a working item at a price it should be at.

Audio firewire devices work flawlessly. Great product.
This card runs my old firewire audio capture devices perfectly. I did have to find the drivers myself on the manufactures website, run the installer in compatibility mode. Now, the devices run perfectly and I was able to run the devices flawlessly.I had invested significantly few years ago in firewire audio equipment and had been keeping a really old computer with firewire support in the motherboard. I wanted to use a newer computer with more modern features and faster processor but this firewire port is not really made anymore. However, with this card the devices are working flawless and I can run my devices in my new computer. You install it in your motherboard PCIE slot and it shows up as "Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller" in device manager without needing any other change. Then, it's just plugging in more devices and they should also show up in device manager. If the driver isn't found, it will show up with a question mark and you have to find the driver for the device and it will start working. Windows 7 drivers work fine with Windows 10/11.Overall, great device and the old devices work great with this.
