Almost indestructible, great for beginners.
This plane is identical to the TopRace version (pictured). Super easy plane to fly, especially in beginner mode. The one negative is the flimsy landing gear, which means hand launch only. I replaced the landing gear with a homemade tundra style gear (pictured) and I can takeoff and land with ease. I have both the Top Race and VolantexRc versions, same-same. The BEST feature of this plane is the prop saver - it pops off on impact and snaps back on. Other planes, you have to order new parts after a rough landing. I have many, many hours on these planes, and they've hit light poles, chain link fences, pavement, and are easily repaired with glue/tape.

Awesome product! Will definitely buy again. Does require 4 AA Batteries
I bought this product for fun. Didn't really expect this plane to be as excellent as it was! I have bought multiple RC planes before. They ended up breaking in 2 weeks or less. This is WONDERFUL! So first off i unboxed it. looks pretty good so far. Took it outside and did a ground takeoff. Took off with short runway space! went VERY FAST flew right into the sky beautifully. I turned it around approaching for its first landing. put the throttle to about 25% then when I was about 2 feet off the ground I put the throttle to 0% then glided down to a perfect, smooth landing. Excellent RC plane and I sure will buy it again! 1 Warning though : you do need 4 AA batteries for the remote.

The plane is Poor Quality, Flimsy, doesn't work as advertised and can't even really get airborne...
I bought the 4ch VolantexRC F-16 and this product is absolute trash and has terrible quality. I bought this plane because I heard good reviews and recommendations online about this "high quality, good value and functional" plane. Now this would seem great and all but out of the box the plane came damaged with the missile rail on the left being partially ripped off. Now some glue and filler fixed that up. I calibrated the gyro, charged the batteries that came with the plane and went to my local park to fly it. The plane couldn't even takeoff... We tried taking off from a smooth strip of concrete that was at least 25 ft long. The plane would veer off to the left. We checked our ailerons, made sure they were level, checked the gyro, trimmed the control surfaces, adjusted the wheel and even then it would still veer off to left. We ended up positioning the plane so it was facing right so it would straighten out and take off. Problem Solved right? No. The plane went forward 20ft at full throttle and I thumbed back the joystick to make the plane go up with no response from the plane at all. (Joystick pulled towards me to make the horizontal stabilizers go up). The horizontal stabilizers went up but the plane still didn't go up. Now sure thats maybe just a fluke. Well we tried 7 more times and decided that the battery must be defective or low on juice because the plane wasn't moving forward fast enough. So we put in a new battery... but same result. Well maybe the concrete was causing too much friction and the plane couln't move fast enough. We tried throwing the plane... Everytime we would throw it, the plane would struggle to generate lift. We tried taking off from the ground into the wind (the normal way), taking off away from the wind, then throwing it into the wing and vice versa. The plane would either struggle to generate sufficient lift, nose dive into the ground or flip around in circles and spiral into the ground. Also note that I was going full trottle, in beginner mode (which is full safe mode where the gyro should attempt to keep the plane level), and pulling back on the joystick. Now not only did the plane motor generate enough thrust but the plane itself could not keep itself level as advertised and like many other planes programmed with safe. Now do not even get me started on the gyro of this plane. We calibrated it many times and no matter what we did it would always flip the plane upside down and barrel role into the ground (In beginner mode where the plane should stay level and can only perform basic maneuvers such as turning left or right or going up or down at a 45 degree angle). Now after around 20-30 fails (there's no exact number because we lost count), we finally were able to takeoff into the wind and the plane stayed level and flew somewhat smoothly. So, now the plane is working right? Absolutely not. The acrobatics button is advertised as being able to do a U turn, Loopty loop and a barrel role. While the barrel role worked great and had no issues, the U turn button did not work at all. Click the acrobatics button and then the button next to the joystick. No response. On the otherhand the loopty loop partially worked. Push the acrobatics button then pull back on the joystick. The plane would attempt to do a loopty loop (on full throttle by the way) and then would stall and fall. Now although the plane was able only to do half a loopty loop, I managed to pull off a cobra maneuveur with this (so not too bad). So, now we finally figured out everything and all our problems were over right? No... The controller kept disconnecting mid-flight and it got bad to the point where we had to land the plane. With only 1 minute in the air we were already disapointed. We spent the better half of the afternoon just trying to get the plane airborne all for it to have a crappy flying experience anyways. Well the the controller must be low on juice right? Nope we got brand new double a Duracell batteries installed in it and replaced the new ones for other new ones. Controller still disconnected randomly during flight. This wasn't a controller range problem because we were in the avertised range of the controller and the controller disconnect when the plane was far and even 10 feet away from the group. In total that day we spent 3 hours outside and flew the plane a total of 5 minutes. We spent 9 times the avertised flight or 36 times the amount of flying time we had just trying to get the plane to work as advertised. You would think that was the end of our problems right? Everything that could've gone wrong has gone wrong. Well no. The planes durability is crap. The battery compartment door snapped off immedietly, the planes wheels broke off multiple times with very smooth landings and both of the planes missile rails broke off when the plane veered left off the runway when we were trying to get it airborne. The plane is poor quality, unreliable and flimsy. I would not recommend this plane and instead would recommend investing in a high quality, durable and slightly more expensive plane that will last longer and give on overrall better experience. Better than wasting your money on this cheap crap.

My honest reaction to this plane
This is a very durable plane, but don’t fly it too much or else it will break. I accidentally flew it directly into the ground and it broke in half and everything was out, but it was able to fix it with some gorilla glue. I would recommend buying extra batteries with us because even though the 40 minute flight time is true it’s sometimes won’t work, and sometimes you might wanna fly it for more Also, this this actually surprised me how well it fly. It went very fast was pretty easy to control, and it was very simple. After taking this thing apart after I crashed the motherboard and gyroscope are very simple and extremely sturdy. The LEDs are very cool. I would recommend throwing to takeoff.

Fun, but doesn’t last long
It was really fun to fly and i loved it but it kept crashing and breaking so we fixed it with superglue and it worked, but not for long. At some point it just wouldn’t fly. Not for beginners

Amazing!!
I am amazed at the speed of this plan. It is so awesome. The instructions were pretty simple and very easy to assemble. I love that the plane has lights so if you wanted to fly it at night you can. Mine came perfectly calibrated and it was ready for take off. I love how light it is. It brings 2 batteries so while you are flying you can still be charging a backup in case it dies. This makes for a perfect gift!

Easy to use
Easy to use and understand. Present for my 7 year old. He was able to use to well and operate the plane. The lights were especially cool. He absolutely loves it.

Very hard to turn
I have tried to turn 6 times and it doesn’t turn well flys well without turning gyro works pretty good dose not work good at all in wind the front wheel fell of in the snow from a turn crash works bad when snow and trying to land take off.
