I’ve been using it over a year. Washed the cover on the washing machine and literally zero difference, still like new. Helps to relax muscles after exercising. I would recommend using it before going to bed.

Honest Review time... I was looking at a social media site when an advert appeared for an accupressure mat - it was a branded make, and out of curiosity I followed the link which took me to their website. Although I was interested, the mat was quite expensive, and I wasn't sure how effective it would be. I also know that many companies that advertise on this particular platform either dropship items, or sell them at inflated prices. I did a quick search on 'accupressure mat' on Amazon, and found the LyfeFocus mat and pillow set - there were others available, but this look the best from the images and had the best reviews. Order placed, it arrived the same day at around 9pm. As is often the way, I'd not mentioned to the wife that I'd bought something, so she was curious when it arrived, and upon opening she was quite horrified at the prospect of laying on thousands of tiny, quite sharp spikes. My wife gets chronic back pain, and I get mild discomfort occasionally (mainly through exercise), but also focus on my wellness. Before I tried it, I checked the product - it was well made, with a cushion embedded in the mat, and hundreds of tiny black disks with little spikes on. The pillow was also well padded, and it came with a nice bag and information leaflet. Laying the mat out on the floor, my wife challenged me to try it straight away. Now, the information leaflet states the following... 0-2 mins - Feel slightly uncomfortable and prickly 2-6 mins - Feels warm, almost sunburnt 6-10 mins - A tingly effect, similar to deep heat 10-15 mins - Feel good hormones released 15+ mins - Muscles start to feel relaxed, and aches, pains and tension released. It also recommends wearing a thin t-shirt when first using the mat, which I did, but couldn't feel much from it at all. I took my t-shirt off, and laid back... and they were certainly right about the first couple of minutes!! I didn't actually last 2 minutes the first time... It felt really uncomfortable so ended up putting my t-shirt back on, and then laid there for some time not really feeling the benefit. Undeterred, I tried again next morning in my home office - bravely removing my t-shirt and more determined, I got past the first 2 minutes with some discomfort, but then yes, the heat started to radiate and I actually felt relaxed. About 5 minutes later, I felt so chilled out I was really enjoying the sensation, and I lasted about 15 minutes. I tried again later that day, and lasted about 20 minutes, and the next day I achieved the maximum recommended 30 minutes, and felt amazing afterwards! I have had this for about a week now, and I'm regularly using it twice a day (occasionally a brief session after sitting in front of the computer screen for some time too!), and would highly recommend it. I have yet to convince my wife - she is struggling to get past the discomfort stage, but I'm sure we'll get there :)
