Installation is a simple drop in with an option of using a strip of double sided tape to secure the piece to the front of the center console. I chose not to use the tape so I can remove the box and have easy access to the cubbies below. I was surprised by the small size of the unit. It limits its possible use, sunglasses, keys, remotes, a cell phone can be readily at hand. Larger items not so much. A useful future take on this box would have it both deeper and wider to store larger items or as a front seat trash bin. Adding a rimmed lift off cover would also allow the box to serve as a multi-purpose tray. As is, I don't find this product a must have.

This is a nice little compartment to add to the open space in front of the Maverick console. It fits snug, even without the adhesive, and does not interfere with the closing of the armrest. It has a nice rubber bottom insert that makes sure things don't slide around much, and is large enough to hold a regular sized phone in a case or something similar in size. it does make the compartment/open space in front of the console a bit tight to access, but i usually keep a pair of gloves there so it is perfect for that still.
