A4 Blotting Paper for Ink & Oil - Super Absorbent 300gsm - 500 White Sheets

This is an incredibly thick blotting paper - at 300gsm it has the heft of cardstock. I got it for using with a rolling blotter and was a little worried it could be too thick (yes, yes I should have read the product description) but I didn't need to as it was super simple to fit - I think the thickness actually helped hold it in place whilst I screwed the plate down to hold it in place. This pack of 10 sheets is going to last me such a long time. It absorbs wet ink really quickly and efficiently and can be used over and over again before needing to replace the sheet. I just started using a fountain pen again and this stuff is a lifesaver - I have even started writing my to do or shopping lists with pen and ink and this blotting paper means no more smudges because I was too impatient to let the ink dry.

I bought this to blot fountain pen ink. Not to mop oil off my face or to press flowers! We have a few 1 star reviews saying this is not proper blotting paper. I took a gamble on this product and I'm so pleased I did! It's not what I had at school 50 years ago, that's for sure. Blotting paper as we knew back in the day seems virtually impossible to source these days. Try a search for ink blotting paper and you'll get loads of results for 'paper' to mop up oils off skin or for use in flower presses. The use for fountain pen ink blotting seems a very minor consideration! You can see from my short video that it blots Lamy fountain pen ink extremely well, with no ill effects. I'm actually pleasantly surprised how well it performs. It performs equally well on either side, so once you've filled up one side, just flip it over! It is much stiffer than blotting paper used to be and feels a bit like watercolour card, but with a more open 'weave'. There is no doubt in my mind that this does as good a job as the blotting paper I used to know and love all those years ago. I cut each A4 sheet into strips of around 6cm wide to fit a wooden blotter. That gives me 5 strips per sheet. There are some alternative, very expensive ways to buy a similar product, but with a fancy label or name! This product represents good value for money at around £7 for 10 sheets of A4. Ultimately it seems that this is what you get as ink blotting paper these days and I'm certainly not disappointed! Thoroughly recommended! Hope I've helped :-)

Huge sheets. Very thick. Ideal for a desk pad refill. Easy to trim to size

Good quality paper that will last me forever. I bought it to use on my rocking blotter, so need to cut it to size, but it works well. It would be good if the sold it in smaller packs, either less sheets or half the size.

Excellent product but not quite large enough to completely fit the standard size desk blotting pad however, the blotting paper was as described - it’s thick, absorbent and great value. Thank you so much for a speedy delivery, it arrived the very next day.

Again forgot to look at the reviews. Probably good for crafts etc but not for blotting ink pen as its fairly rigid to use for fountain pen, which was advertised. It is absorbant and useful to leave within written ink pages but not ad hoc use.

Good item but package was just put in the garden !! My instructions were to leave in secure porch if it had been raining the product would have been ruined ! Would like the company involved to address this with the delivery person

Good quality product

Parfait-100 % Satisfait !

Perfect paper weight and absorbency. Performs well in my bindery. I will repurchase when I run out!

Prodotto di alta qualità. Personalmente lo uso per grafica su carta con inchiostro liquido per il suo ottimo potere assorbente.

Product as advertised - highly recommended.

Tutto ok grazie mille
