Solid microphone
I have a Sony DSR-PD150 (camcorder) which didn’t come with an XLR mic or holder, this microphone was a really cost effective way to get audio whilst still producing a relatively good sound and included a cold shoe mic holder. Highly recommend if you’re like me and want to see if your camcorder XLR ports are functional as it worked fine with me.

Just brilliant microphone
Love the cstrong solid risp natural sound from this it has a strong metal mic stand in not aware of any problems here I use it for my tiktok account and my YouTube account it's b I've n so good worth the money for sure 😃

Works well, fits properly, inexpensive.
Be aware this is for professional use, such as with broadcast cameras with 48V phantom power. It works really well, I'm very pleased so far. It includes a wind shield and an adaptor to allow installation on cameras with the larger microphone support. So it will install both on my Sony Digital Betacam and smaller JVC HDV broadcast camcorders. Downsides: Well the user manual could have been better written, for a product intended for professional use. And unlike a Sony microphone, there is no marking to tell you which way is up when you mount it, so I would suggest installing it with the openings to the left and right rather than top and bottom.

Not impressed - Avoid
I used this once mounted on a Panasonic X2000, fine while its quiet but any volume increase causes huge distortion, straight in the bin

Cheap mic, works, but it’s not professional level.
The price is probabaly right, as this is not a good microphone, it seems to be an OK microphone but not the professional level I would be looking for. I read the review regarding the levels on a manual setting, it just lowers the volume, it doesn’t stop the noise, and I know how to set levels, it’s just not the same, my Zoom mic, Rode mic great sound, but you plug this in, it’s just not good, and that’s why it is cheap.

Clear Audio
This microphone works great. I use it on my Panasonic HCX2000 camcorder. In my case, I find this microphone works best with the audio set to manual. It is very sensitive and in Auto mode, it gets over-modulated in loud settings (live outdoor events with people talking on a PA). In this setting, I switch to manual to turn down the recording level. It is compact enough to easily carry in a backpack compartment when not in use.
