Surviving to Drive: The No.1 Sunday Times bestseller as seen on Netflix’s Drive to Survive

Excellent read
It's written in true Guenther style, witty and full of the F bomb, though it's spelt the European way! He warns about the word being used right from the first page so don't read or complain if this offends: It wouldn't be Guenther without using this word. You often wonder about the fairness of what happens in a Grand Prix weekend and how the smaller teams are affected by the budget cap. etc. It gives a really good insight into the world of F1 and what happens in the pit lane from a Team Principle point of view. Enjoy!

A Must-Have For The F1 Fan
Surviving To Drive by Guenther Steiner is a comprehensive look at the 2022 Formula 1 season through the eyes of Haas boss Guenther Steiner. The style is very personable and anyone who watches F1 will recognize the individual voice of Guenther Steiner. This book is written in the style of the way Guenther Steiner talks. His huge personality shines through the pages.Guenther Steiner is down to earth. He tells it as it is and he has a sense of humor. For the F1 fan, Surviving To Drive is a ‘must-have’ and a ‘must-read.’ You will relive the 2022 season and glimpse behind the scenes.Guenther Steiner is a good team man. He recognizes the need for everyone to pull together. “A team is only as good as the people it has working for it and we’ve got some of the best.”He also recognizes the need to get on with the other F1 teams for the good of the sport. “As much as I disagree with what this guy thinks … we have to remember that ultimately we all sit under the same tree.”I thoroughly enjoyed Surviving To Drive. The essence of Guenther Steiner leaps from the pages. It is a fabulous read for the F1 fan, whatever driver or team you support.

brilliant
Tells the story of one season from his point of view, he writes the same way he speaks, blunt and straight to his point, being a season with Haas he had plenty of material to draw upon, well worth the read for the funny ironic way of his season if nothing else.

Written in his own inimitable way.
Written in the only way it can be, where Guenther is recording it in the same way as he speaks.I found a very enjoyable insight into the trials and tribulations , as well as the highs of a F1 team Principal.

Not particularly engaging
I like Guenther, but the book is sometimes like reading a child’s diary, doesn’t really go into too much detail even with the war in Ukraine and the reshuffle of drivers and sponsors. Some of it froth and it’s quite padded out with non essential pieces

Great read for any F1 fan
I can’t say enough good things about this book. I believe any F1 fan would enjoy it. The pacing is perfect, you get a mix of mostly current day behind the scenes commentary mixed in with some stories from Gunther’s past. Of course it’s all presented with his great sense of humor and some foul language.Few books can make me actually laugh out loud and this book did that on multiple occasions.Definitely worth the read if you enjoy F1

Great
I've only just started reading this book and I think I can safely say that it's going to be a very enjoyable and lighthearted true story about a year in the life of a formula 1 Team Principle.
