Stella & Chewy is like a slow poison.. cause my cat to vomit and diarrhoea. We tried both rabbit & duck, both causes intolerance. We did very slow transition and with increasing amount, he started to vomit and have diarrhoea more and more.. Finally gave up and changed to Feline Natural freeze dried raw and he is finally ok. Wont recommend this brand at all..

I ordered a bag of raw freeze-dried rabbit, from the US, via Amazon. Thinking it was a 3.5kg bag I paid almost £40, but, it wasn't 3.5kg, it was only a tiny 3.5 ounces bag! At the moment by the way, the price of this has gone up to over £50 from the same seller! Not only that, none of my cats liked or ate it, and so in the end, I put the rest out for the foxes that we feed, but even they did not eat it either, and guess what, it was still there in the morning, with cats, foxes and hedgehogs passing it by all night! Funny kind of 'rabbit' that even foxes won't eat! And yes, I did soak the pieces in water first as instructed. I feel very robbed, ripped-off and stupid for ordering it in the first place. I could never recommend these products, because, many cats, a couple of foxes & 3 hedgehogs can't all be wrong, the stuff must be not very nice, and, is certainly not value for money.

I believe it's a good product and better than kibble. I have 2 ferrets, one of them will only eat it if I soak kibble with it, the other one will eat it if it's mixed with meat baby food or kibble. They won't eat it by itself yet but I'm still trying. If I had fed when they were still babies, they'd probably love it!

**update after 6 months** today is 03-07-21 All is still good, tried the Duck but that got 'the look', so it's not in the mix. I do not measure by the 'cup' but by the piece. She only gets 1 or 2 pieces, 3 times a day, crumbled up with a small amount of water. She does not care for it saturated. I've also added a small spoon full of gravy product from Weruva to make up for the water and that works for her. This is a good balance and even though everyone talks about how expensive the Freeze dried is, I'm spending LESS on cat food than I did before I switched. She gets 2 walks most days in her harness and is in very good health. And she not only likes it, but is more enthusiastic about eating than she's ever been! We are into the 2nd week, started out with just 3-4 pieces crumbled up, add water to hydrate, then placed regular food (Wellness) in the dish. To be more descriptive, she pushed my hand out of the way to start eating!! Kept increasing the amount of S&C freeze dried. On the 3rd day, she ate all of the S&C food and left her old brand (although she did eat it a bit later). We are now at about 1/4 old brand, the rest S&C. She has had no negative reaction. It might be my imagination, but she seems to have reverted to WILD CAT. She's only 3 years old and has been with me since 12 weeks, always fed quality, but this takes it to a new level. I ordered the Rabbit Freeze Dried to begin with, now have the Chicken and she seems to like that, too. I love the fact that she gets the extra water, and her water bowl has stayed much cleaner since she doesn't drop food in it, she's too busy eating! Another bonus - she licks her food dish clean. So far, she's doing great and I'm happy with less mess. I also am happy when the item is shipping in hot weather from whatever warehouse in whatever city, there is less/no chance of getting spoiled.
