Bought this for our 8 year old granddaughter. She loves both her ballet lessons but also watching the great ballets. She adores this book

Beautiful book! A present for my Granddaughter who loves ballet. It describes the stories of many ballets and comes with a CD to accompany the book.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter as we were going to see Coppelia and I wanted to make sure she knew the story. It is a beautiful book, with lovely illustrations and the stories are accessible for younger readers. We both love it

Pretty book for little ones who are keen on ballet.

I got this for my 6 year old daughter who loves ballet. It is a lovely, good size hard back book with tons of stories and drawings and lots of information. It has a CD with it which has a really good number of ballet pieces on it. The book itself is a little `heavy' going so it is a book to be shared with an adult and some of the musical pieces aren't the obvious one's you would assume would have been selected (a couple of pieces are a tad scary). Overall though I think it's great, covers everything you need to know and is beautifully presented.

A very good book, excellent history of ballet, serious but not boring. My daughter keeps playing the CD and dances on the music.

My boy loves ballet! So I bought this book as farewell gift when he graduated from SK. All his classmates LOVE it! They can't wait to read the story, history, and listen to the pieces! It's been the most wanted item in their classroom's library since! Then I bought another for my boy because he wanted one just for himself :-)

My son currently is taking ballet, I was told I should have him read the popular ballet stories so that he would have an understanding of the story before auditioning or performing pieces from the ballet. This book has several stories, it has a cd included with music from the ballets (the book will tell you to listen to a track that coincides witht the reading) the book is not childish at all and would be benificial to dancers of all ages. It is great for the begining dancer or reader with little to no knowledge of ballet as it explains the history, different positions,etc. Having a son taking ballet I also appreciate that the book is not completly girly. It is very hard to find things for male dancers. This book is much more than I had hoped for. I am very impressed with it and I highly recommend it to ANYONE. It is a complete overview of the most popular ballets wrapped up in one little book. The CD in my opinion completed the package making it a terrific value and recourse. So to sum it up BUY this book!!

Super informative

I bought this book for my young grand daughters who have been in ballet classes for 3 years. The book is very fun for them and very informative of the beginnings of ballet. The girls (6 & 7), were so excited that the book also included a CD of different popular ballets. The book has a lot of interesting facts and has been a lot of fun reading to them. Well worth the money.
