CV Boot Clamp Pliers, Single Ear Hose Drive Shaft CV Axle Boot Clamp Removal and Installation Tool Compatible with Toyota Lexus etc OEM 09521-24010

I have used this tool to replace the CV Boots of both my ‘12 Corolla and ‘13 Sienna. The tool works perfectly. Actually better than the plier type crimper. I used an adjustable wrench to hold the tool and keep it from turning when I was tightening the 13mm bolt to close the clamps. I never found the need to torque the bolt too hard for the clamps to tighten and meet. I recommend this tool.

These pliers worked exactly as intended and made tightening CV boot clamps much easier than improvised tools. Solid build and a good tool to have if you work on axles.

I'm used to the plier type clamp pliers, which SUCK!!!!. These however are great and easy to use. Doesn't require any strength.

Very useful for crimping oetiker clamps in tight spaces, or when you need them very tight like on CV boots. Holding up pretty well for the price, I'd recommend not using an impact on it as the threads are wearing just from hand use.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Worked perfect and also the clamps, when fully tightened, has a slight gap (as the OEM tool also does) to prevent over pinching the band clamp as there is a gap minimum required on the pinched loop. Love this tool!

This tool works really well. I originally used a fairly expensive plier type clamp when working on my 3rd Gen 4Runner but I didn't get the large clamp on the outer boot tight enough. After my my first highway trip I had grease splattering everywhere. I repacked the grease and used this tool and am very impressed with how it works. Much tighter then I could ever get with the plier style crimping tool.

This CV axle boot strap clamping tool is well designed and work flawlessly clamping strong CV boot straps like the original GM CV boot straps on 4WD trucks front CV axles, which require a high torque tool to get them to specs. However, the bolt that pushes the jaws together is made of low grade junk metal. I clamped four GM straps for a SIERRA 2500HD diesel pickup truck, and the tool clamping bolt is already stripped almost to the point of failure, even though I cleaned and greased it before use. I like the tool so much, that I am going to keep it and replace the bolt with a good grade 8 bolt, and hope the thread on the jaws hold. The description of this tool is also misleading/wrong. This tool is not made to remove the clamps, it only works for compressing them upon installation.

Está hecho de un muy buen material, cumple su función. Por tanto facilita mucho el trabajo, más que las pinzas que son para lo mismo.

As advertised Did the job well. Definitely grease all friction points for easier use. A tool to last. Not the quickest acting but very firm and no grip strength required to crimp. Useable in vehicle and on the bench.

Reparé unas polveras en un auto Corolla y funciona perfecto.

this device works great it did a really great job with the clamps. its very compact and works great in really small space.
