LG Magic Remote MR23GN, 2023

Omg this remote is soooo good. I bought it because my fire tv was replaced by my insurance company with an LG TV. Great TV with the cheapest, nastiest remote like ever. Tiny buttons crammed into the bottom of the remote with loads of useless buttons taking up 3/4 of the remote. No voice control, horrible cheap feel of the buttons, felt cheap thin plastic in my hand, no voice control. I hated the TV on the grounds of the remote. Seriously you may think me crazy but I even considered buying another TV I hated the remote so much. Bought this one and it is sheer joy to use, so simple, feels really heavy and it's real quality build. I love it. I don't get why Anyone would dislike thus remote it's perfect unless they haven't actually bought the genuine LG remote but one of the many copies out there. I paid the extra for this one as I wanted the real thing. Just found out it operates the Sky Q box also altho the cursor doesn't work with Q everything else does

I got this to replace an older model remote which was having issues with the power button.It works as expected with the exception that the app buttons, that were not on the old remote, do not work.The main thing is that we can easily turn the TV on and off. It's good at that.

Is not voice recognition remote control

Good solid remote, works perfectly as far as I can tell at the moment, nice to use, feels good in hand ,fast response when using, maybe a bit expensive ?

We purchased this to use with a 32 inch LG TV (comes with ordinary handset) and had no trouble hooking them up. It works as expected and is a great improvement.More challenging was then to reconfigure the whole set up so that this handset would also operate our Sonos Ray which only works via optical audio cable which does not easily hook up with this handset - as it is not an InfraRed handset. It can be done but we only managed it after watching a few YouTube videos and chats on the Sonos forum. If you are trying to do this - when you get to the bit where you are selecting the make of soundbar, we found that Sonos was not one of the choices offered. But we then guessed what to do and searched in this sort of search box on that page and entered the name Sonos with a capital S and ‘hey-presto’ up popped Sonos as an option. None of the online instructions mentioned this bit. Anyway you will definitely need to take advice on doing this as it is very far from intuitive. But now it all works perfectly and we are done !

Didn’t work with LG TV, advised magic remote could not be registered to TVTV is one year old QNED. Tried getting refund and wouldn’t let me! Please avoid buying for LG TV

We recently purchased a new LG TV, but the included remote was absolutely terrible to use. This magical remote control connected to our TV in just a second and operating the TV functions is soo much easier. It literally works like a magic wand. Highly recommend
