Durian isn't easy to get here in South FL. When it's available isn't that affordable. Durian in the oriental market is like buying gold. A really small fruit (frozen) two years ago was $50. I didn't have $50 for a small fruit so I didn't buy it. This is the affordable and tasty way to enjoy it. I'll buy it again, it is very good, I'm impressed 👍

This brand remains high-quality, the dry freeze process, allows the flavors to pop in your mouth when you enjoy this healthy snack, I would buy it again.

I've tried many brands of freeze-dried durian, and CHAVI is by far the worst! More than half of the bag contained suspicious pieces with worm bumps and moldy colors. Very Disgusting. I had to throw it away, and I'm seriously worried about the food safety. The rest of the bag was just bland, with little fragrance or flavor. It was a complete waste of money. Any other brand on Amazon would be better than this.

My favorite fruit is durian, and this is the best freeze-dried durian product. You can't buy anything with such a good taste and flavor like this from CHAVI company. I have tried many, but the smell is usually strong. This one is the best. You can see the pulp of the durian, which they cut into pieces and put in the bag. It feels like one bag contains one whole durian fruit. Highly recommended!

So, I’m usually a fan of freeze-dried fruits. They’re like nature’s candy but without the guilt (and sugar… mostly). I’ve tried all sorts of superfoods, from acai to mango to the occasional, over-hyped kale chip, but never, never had I dared to try the notorious “King of Fruits”—Durian. Well, folks, I decided to take the plunge and picked up a bag of CHAVI Freeze-Dried Durian. I had heard legends, you know? Tales of its potent aroma and unique flavor profile. What I wasn’t prepared for was how much it tasted like I had just licked an ashtray after a wild weekend of chain-smoking cigars in a dumpster fire. I don’t know if I need a palate cleanse or a full-on exorcism, but that burnt, bitter flavor hit me like a freight train, and it wasn’t about to let me off easy. It was as though someone combined every bad decision I've ever made into one snack. The aftertaste lingered. And lingered. And lingered. Like my in-laws at Thanksgiving—it just wouldn’t go away, no matter how much I tried to wash it down with water, wine, or regret. The product itself is, to be fair, well-packaged and it’s definitely vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free—which is great if you’re into healthy snacks (and want to taste like you’ve just eaten something that could make a garbage truck proud). But, if you’re new to durian like me, just know you’re stepping into some risky territory here. This fruit doesn’t “try” to be bold—it announces itself with the subtlety of a parade float. In conclusion, if you’re a seasoned durian eater, go ahead and enjoy this, but if you’re like me and want to test your taste buds' will to live—be my guest. Just have a backup snack on hand (maybe some chocolate or just straight-up air), because this is not a flavor you’ll forget. And definitely not one you’ll want to repeat.

Never tried or smelled durian before. These smell like what I was told and the taste really wasn't too bad. Would try again
