Wanted to read this as I have toyed with the idea of making a channel, but didn't know how it all worked. Obviously I had some idea but this book is definitely a manual for success. Easy to understand, straight talking instructions,and fantastic advice.Learn what you need - its all there. Information suitable for the beginner and the expert. From how to set up a you tube channel, through to solid advice about creating quality content, gaining subscribers and taking advantage of the YouTube algorithm. But most importantly learn how to make money from your channel. This book will be your route to success!.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book gives information on YouTube and how to curate a successful channel.It is a nice read for the absolute beginner. As a person who has had their channel for 3 years, I did really not learn anything unfortunately.It gives the new to YouTube reader plenty of info, useful checklists at the end of each chapter, and an overview on what to expect at each step of beginning your channel. The explanation of for instance the analytics area in YouTube Studio is very in-depth.At the same time, at times the book only provided broad statements without going into the practical side of for instance how to exactly find a niche.Things get a bit more specific later on, but still there is a lack of follow through. An example- it is mentioned that viewers might click out of a video if it is too long. But, how long is too long? And if this book cannot give quantitative information, how can the reader find this out for themselves and their videos?The formatting/layout could be improved a lot and for a book about video there was a severe lack of images.What really surprised me, was an offhand comment when discussing possible niches and where you might want to focus on. The quote is: "Some slightly older women love makeup tutorials because they give them insights on how to appear younger and more vibrant."IMMEDIATELY NO. A comment on the age of a specific group of people whose only reason is to watch a specific video because they want to de-age themselves?! I did not understand at all why the author felt the need to make such a comment.1 star for that random quote, 3.5 stars for the overview of all the info, rounded up to 3 stars at "it was OK".

Simple concepts outlined in the book that I will use to hopefully build my own YouTube channel.

“YouTube Influencer” is an excellent resource for those looking to begin a YouTube channel. I’ve oftened wondered how to do this and knew nothing about it until I read this book. It’s easy to read and understand, very well organized, and gives you a step-by-step approach to everything you need to do to begin. I also liked the way the author got down to business right away and didn’t spend chapters of time on the history of YouTube, and the myriad reasons why you should be interested in getting a channel of your own, and so forth. That, in my view, is a serious mistake that all too many self-help and how-to-do-it books make. I don’t pick up a book to read the history of the subject unless it’s a history book (though brief info about it can be interesting). And I’m already interested in the subject, or I wouldn’t have picked it up in the first place. I want to get straight to the heart of the matter without wading through half the book to get there. Bravo to this author for not making that mistake. My attention was engaged right away with useful info that spoke directly to why I got the book. Which is why I’m giving it 5 stars and highly recommending it to anyone who is interested in learning how to set up a YouTube channel of their own.

I’ve read so many books, looking for real-world YT advice and steps written in understandable language. I’ve finally found it in this book.I’ve found out why my previous attempts didn’t work. I’ve gotten step-by-step guidance, and even checklists to keep me on track. This book was worth its weight in gold to me.Thanks so much for a great book. Keep an eye on my YT channel.
