Nice sturdy date stamp. It'll get lots of use over the next 8 years. Gave 4 stars because it is a 10 year date stamp but only has 8 that are useable because it started with 2022.

This thing looks great on my desk and the date looks so stylish in my notebooks. The ink gives great coverage. You just have to let it sit on the ink pad for a minute before use for a new date to get the right amount of ink on it. It was easy to figure out how to use, but I left a bit of a tutorial in my video to help you out. Works great and I love it. Also, what I forgot to mention in the tutorial is you change the date by using the wheels that are shown in the photograph.

I've ordered/used many stampers. Never truly satisfied with the stamp (not a crisp clear impression). This one is the one!!! You get what you pay for. This stamp is the most expensive stamper I've ever ordered, but it is the best I have ever had. You get what you pay for. ;-)

Trodat 5030 Professional 4.0 Self Inking Date Stamp is so much better than some other brand that I have used in the past that either the bands break off or it wouldn't stamp certain numbers. This stamper is far superior in construction and stamping. It has a guide that you can clearly see where exactly the date is going to stamp and it only costs you a few more dollars!! The numbers, month and year are very clear to see and it's easier to use with the wooden handle on top! When setting the date, it is very visible that you don't need glasses or a bright light to see the fonts. I'm looking forward to this lasting a long, long time and not breaking within the first year

If you find yourself having to write the date out a lot, this is a perfect solution. As a teacher I write the date on a lot of things, and am constantly asking students to date their work, this is a simple solution for both myself and them, they love using it so it's much easier to get them to do it if they can just stamp it out.

This date stamp is solidly built and very satisfying to use. The impression it leaves is clear and readable. I enjoy clicking the date forward each morning then using it to stamp notes, journal entries, creations I make through the day. I plan to use it to stamp labels for food destined for the freezer. I hope the dates don't run or smudge. They are quick drying so I think it will be ok. A very enjoyable tool to use.

Was looking for a classic library-style date stamp for daily use planning, logs and journaling needs. Overall, I liked the classic analog style, without the mechanism. Opted to upgrade to this version instead… Glad I did. This one touts benefit of “protected” stamping pad and inactive numbers/months section (to keep ink from getting on stuff). It may help as a preventative, but I still get ink on my fingers and it stays for days — So I’m glad for this one as it’s already saved me from ruining clothes with random ink smears. Simple, useful. Needs ink refreshed quicker than anticipated. I wish it were more compact overall, but it gets the job done. Kinda feels like the “treat yourself” of date stamps, if that were a thing… Or you work with a lot of paperwork and you need to date stamp that much, repetitively. Definitely saves time. I do like how it has little indicators that help identify where the stamp itself will land. Locks open for ease of changing dates. Stainless steel frame. No regrets, would purchase again… but should be set until 2035 with the addition of extra ink.

Used so far half a year in a Kindergarten Class by dozens of kids for date stamping work. They all want to break it. Doesn't break!
