As a mechanical engineer, I’m pretty amazed at the quality of components. The handles are very solid and much heavier than expected. The pulley system seems to be more than adequate and the rope is of good quality. For the price, it’s a much better value than expected.

This product is cheap, but functionally it’s as useful as the professional physical therapy models. The handles are not as comfortable as those used at PT, but they’re comfortable enough for as much as I intend to use it (couple of months maybe, after shoulder surgery). The nylon rope and pulley assembly works smoothly and quietly. The attachment to the door is nylon and rubber and thin enough where it crosses over the top of the door so as not to interfere with the door movement. It goes up and comes down easily and contains no parts that threaten to scratch the finish on the door. You can adjust the length of the cord, if necessary, by simply retying the cord where it goes through the handles. For the price and intended use, this product is a good deal.

Following a ‘catastrophic’ break to my shoulder after falling down stairs, physical therapy included using a pulley system. I bought a pulley from the clinic but it was not geo great so I looked online and found this one…SO DIFFERENT…here’s what really matters to me and made all the difference: 1) quality rope with smooth texture; 2) top pulley circle rotates smoothly giving an ease that is very important to me; 3) length is very good and important for me because my interior doors are tall; 4) the handles are GREAT nicely shaped and made of a material that almost feels like a hard rubber…it makes a difference having a slight curve to the handles and having them not feeling like hard plastic like so many others! Here’s a hint: get some blue painter’s tape and run it over the top edge of the door over the strap and behind the door.This is a basic pulley system at a very basic price that is well thought out and well it just flat out works! Very cool to find. Hope this helps you decide on this one.

Purchased for shoulder strengthening. Compact, easy to bring on a trip. Works well, easy to install. Good value.

This is a great product that easily attaches over a sturdy door frame. It is easy to use and helps in regaining motion and muscle for physical therapy training . I had complete shoulder replacement surgery and exercising with this pulley system helped speed my recovery time. Great product for the price!

After shoulder surgery the physical therapist made me buy this for exercising at home. When I showed her which one I bought she asked how much I paid for it and said it was better made and cheaper than the one they use. Easy to use. Stable use in door jamb. Works great.
