Throw it in the dishwasher at night and it's ready to go for the next day. My only complaint is that they should have made it 12-volt compatible, but not doing so prevents people from plugging the power in the wrong slot. I've already suggested it to friends and family, would buy again

**Q: How many watts/voltage is this? It says 1500watts and 220v?**
A: It plugs into a reg outlet...120v. I don't know what the wattage is

**Q: Is this itty bitty thing really 1500 watts?  That's like a blow dryer or ceramic heater.**
A: I don't know how many actual watts it is, but it does take at least an hour to cook a good portion of food in it, but it doesn't burn on the bottom like the other lunch box I got that quit working, so this being US made, I think so far it's working ok.

I love this thing. It’s super simple and easy to use. I typically prep a batch of food over the weekend and then scoop it into this crock pot before heading off to work. If I throw in a scoop of rice out of the refrigerator with a bit of water and let it go for a few hours everything comes out perfect. I’ve done this with chicken and rice, beans and rice, and chili. If I plug it in under my desk and let it go for a few hours everything is piping hot when I’m done. I’ve had to move between offices a couple times and it stays hot enough that even if it’s unplugged for an hour the food is still hot. It fits nicely inside my lunch box so I can still have some salad and fruit without a problem. I’ve even been able to plug it into the power outlet in my car (120 V) so I can have a hot meal on a road trip. Lunch tends to be my big meal for the day so I love that this lets me bring plenty of food. I’m also not depending on what restaurants are in the area when figuring out my food options. Basically if I can make it at home I can put it in this crock pot and have a substantial hot meal wherever I go. I just need a power outlet and I’m all set.
