This scanner can read a wide range of symbologies and sizes. The scan capabilities for the smaller condensed barcodes would depend on the type of symbology and the distance you are trying to scan from.

Only with the proper OTG cable for that phone type. I would suggest looking into a Bluetooth scanner if you are using it with a Galaxy device.
