The bristles are stiff and get the job done on both concrete and tile. The squeeze also works well. I used it to clean 1/2 my garage floor (the garage is pretty big - 3 cars) that was very dirty, and using degreaser, the scrub brush really got the floor clean. I also used in on a small section of tile and it cleaned that as well. A big plus is there wasn’t any bristles falling out or collapsing…the brush held its shape.
