Fantastic focus and zoom control, but colors are washed out
I loved this little webcam's zoom and focus -- that's its superpower. From 2-inch close-ups to across the room, I got razor-sharp detail. It's manual, but simple and intuitive. But two caveats: 1) A "barrel effect" can occur, giving objects a bulging appearance. Usually negligible, but not always. 2) Colors are flat and washed-out. I need to photograph various objects of different vibrant colors, so this was a dealbreaker for me. I reluctantly returned it. An otherwise excellent product, if it had good color fidelity I would have kept it.

Good camera.
This is a pretty neat camera I honestly thought it was compatible with my phone which is not. But I decided to plug it into my laptop and see what I could find. The Clarity on this camera is amazing it's great for if you're hosting meetings or doing podcast and recording from your laptop. I have Windows 11 on my laptop and it's very compatible. It's small not super duper bulky. You can use it with tablets and it's also compatible MacBook as well. Very easy to use you can plug it in and go. You do have to install Windows software it's called and cap but that comes in the directions. It has no and focus which is perfect so if you have a tablet you're able to carry this around and do some work with it it might be a little bit difficult but it's perfect. The pricing on it is great. The specs are good for what you're using

ok imagery but stopped working after 1 day
i like the manual zoom. image quality was reasonable, although colors a bit low saturation. camera worked for 1 day and then next day i tried to use but it no longer worked. i tried it in multiple PCs to be sure it was dead. it was indeed dead.

Needs a little better low light capabilities
This camera has all the features needed for my purposes, but the low light image is lacking. To overcome this, you can tweak the software to increase brightness (in my case using v4lctl on Ubuntu) and it brightens, but with a washed out result. I can get 30fps through USB, transcoding it through the iGPU using ffmpeg to convert it to h264. My intended use was to monitor a cat door because of neighborhood cat issues, so it works great for that as long as there is enough room light. Another use I could see would be for a Teams webcam because of the 1/4" tripod base on it, but in my retirement I doubt that I would need that anymore...

Needs a camera mount, but a solid zoom and exposure dial
Plugged and play into a Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen with USB Female to Micro-USB male adapter)for Video Drop In calls, and instantly worked with the PC. I wanted the zoom for the TV Drop in calls so it focused on the couch and not the entire living room. Does the trick perfectly. Just needed a separate camera mount.

Zoom zoom, and zoom...
I have evaluated another camera by ELP. They make some pretty tough stuff. This one is no exception. It is solid. You have a standard screw mount and a nice thick cable. I'm still not a fan of proprietary connections. One thing this does help with is running the cable through a small circular hole. No need to cut out a big section of anything only to repair it and hope you never have to touch it again. Unlike some other models, this has no IR capabilities. This leads to poor low light performance. I do not consider this a negative due to the zoom. You are probably trying to look at a well lit area anyway. If not, this unit is not for you. The zoom is impressive and they make another that has even more zoom. There are some limitations though. You will need to very carefully dial in the zoom and compromise with focus. You will need some patience. That aside, it is 8k so you do have a lot more pixels to work with when feeding your NVR software. I would stick to FHD res so you still have a decent framerate. This is not a general use camera, it is a specific use unit. If you land on this review, be sure to check all of ELP's offerings to find your best fit.

High quality, not good for low-light situations
High-quality and durable metal housing, very good video resolution, and quality in well-lit areas. Comes with a nice long USB cable but does not include a mounting bracket of any kind. Has a standard "tripod" mount (1/4") on the bottom. The lens has zoom, focus, and iris adjustments. The zoom and focus have a hand-tightening locking screw to prevent accidental mis-alignment. Connected this to my Windows 10 computer and it installed automatically with no fuss. Shows up in my security software as an available source as well as in Zoom. (If you wanted to use it that way) My use-case has it very close to where my computer is located, and with the long USB, I am able to plug it in directly. Since this camera also werks with Raspberry Pi, you could create a remote webcam using a Pi that can be accessed remotely over the network.
