Probably okay for some people please read all as
The book has a wide variety of healthy meals. Please read to end as this is not a negative review just has some points that only relevant to my situation. I bought as was looking for healthy meals my dad can cook for my mother who is pre-diabetic. However, the way it’s put together, won’t be for all, as it’s a list of recipes, badly formatted pages. For example a recipe name starts at bottom of page and have to go to next page for the actual recipe, saves paper, good for the environment👍, but totally confusing for my elderly father. Also as mother is pre-diabetic trying to help her switch to healthier options is harder when there aren’t pictures of what the meal is you are creating, there are a few black and white pictures, placed throughout but doesn’t make it enticing for them to try which I need for them to engage with. I’ve learnt a lot from the intro of the book and chapter 1/2 so happy with the purchase anyway even if this didn’t fit the exact need for me personally as was for my parents it’s not something the elderly will be able to use easily how structured in my opinion. Sorry for the wall. But still glad I bought it because I learnt some bits at start of book that I didn’t know about diabetes. And we all don’t know a lot of thing until we need to research them. Lemons under vegetables on page 10 though Lisa I’m sure is just a typo. Worth it for what it costs though for sure, just not suitable for my elderly parents.

Misleading information
No photos in the book of the recipes, misleading info regarding foods and alternatives you can eat or use. Overall not very helpful. Disappointed.

Poor disappointed
Poor quality, spelling mistakes, print is misplaced on some pages. Uses names for things that I am not sure of. Just found it didn’t measure up my expectations. Being newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes I was looking forward to receiving the book and studying it, instead I feel disappointed and let down.

Poor
I purchased this (not from Amazon) as just been diagnosed as pre diabetic and not impressed with it at all. It's geared towards the american market.Measurements are not metric - ounces and cups etc and a lot of the ingredients aren't widely available if at all in the UK, such as kelp noodles, arugula, powdered erythritol, swerve, lanthanum gum!The layout is poor, with ingredients on one page and the directions on another.Don't waste your money.
