This stylus is fully compatible with my iPad Air 5th Gen (10.9”). It charges very quickly, and the battery lasts long enough for extended use. It feels comfortable for writing, simple sketching, and everyday navigation on the iPad. One thing to note is that it does not support wireless charging. However, it does have a built-in magnetic side, so it attaches securely to compatible iPads, making it convenient to carry and store. The product looks exactly as shown in the listing photos. If you want a protective case or replacement tips, the accessories made for the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) appear to fit, as they seem to have the same dimensions. If you’re not willing or able to spend the money on an Apple Pencil, this is an excellent alternative at a great price. For about 90% of everyday use, it performs exceptionally well, offering smooth writing and impressive accuracy. I would definitely recommend it.

After spending the amount of money it takes to get an actual iPencil on knock-off's, I had thought there wasn't anything out there that was even halfway decent. There MAY have been an unfortunate event involving a bathroom sink that lacked a drain-stopper, so I needed to get a replacement ASAP. This was one of the only options that would arrive fast enough so I gave it a shot out of desperation. Looking back, it must have been device intervention because I absolutely LOVE this pencil! I'm a full time IT student in the process of getting my bachelor's degree on top of working online, so I use this thing A LOT. From writing to drawing and everything in between, Metapen handles the task at hand with efficiency. No lag, no skipping, no dying after a single day of heavy use. This pencil has literally eliminated every issue I had with other brands. It charges quickly and has a light indicator that let's you know how much battery is left. The only minor irritation is the silicone plug that requires being pulled out in order to charge; it's a miracle I haven't lost it yet. Other than that, this is just about as perfect as it gets. OH! AND it is compatible with the generic tip replacement sets!!! I've included a picture of the pen and tip im currently using. Its already super accurate straight out of the box but if you need even more precision, just know that you have that option.

APPLE PENCIL, WHO????? I don't know her anymore... This pen is literally worth 5x its weight in GOLD. I've never had a stylus like this before and I used to have a legitimate Apple Pencil. The MetaPen doesn't need to be connected to bluetooth or paired to ANYTHING with my iPad air (4th Generation) which is absolutely amazing. All you do is charge it (battery life is more than sufficient for 4 - 6 hour drawing sessions) and turn it on or off by double tapping the butt of the pen near the charging port. This thing is SO worth it, even if I have to replace it in a year or so. For the price?? Absolutely outstanding product you will not regret trying. It's even magnetic which is perfect for keeping track of it and seems to fit into the stylus storage area of most (if not all) iPad cases. This one doesn't charge without being plugged in, but the battery life and charging speed seems to be pretty reliable so far!

I received it yesterday, so, I can say it exceeded my expectations. The setup was very simple: I just turned it on and it started working immediately with my iPad, without needing to connect via Bluetooth. What impressed me the most was its precision. It’s worth noting that it doesn’t have pressure sensitivity like higher-end Apple Pencils, so professional illustrators might miss that feature. However, for students, professionals, and anyone who takes notes or does occasional drawings, it offers excellent performance for a fraction of the price. Overall, I consider it one of the best alternatives to the Apple Pencil in terms of value for money, and I would definitely buy it again.

This stylus works really well with my iPad! It writes smoothly and accurately, and the palm rejection makes taking notes much more comfortable. I have been using this pen for about 2 weeks now. I find it super impressive how well it keeps its charge, and I really appreciate that I can manually turn it off and on. It feels just like a genuine Apple Pencil when writing, but has many more colors and styles so it fits with my IPad much better. One thing I really appreciated was the pairing. This pencil doesn’t require pairing, so I was able to turn it on and start using it immediately.

My Apple Pencil was starting to irritate me. I spent like $90 on it and it feels like I have to charge it all the time now. On top of the fact, I have to pair it to my iPad every single time I wanted to use it. This Metapen iPad pencil popped up on my Facebook feed the day that I said out loud how much I hated my Apple Pencil lol. I decided why not. It’s got great reviews, and they cost a fraction of the other one. And I love it. Never have to pair it to my iPad. I can use it for 8+ hours before I have to charge it. And I can turn it on and off by double tap in the end. It works with my iPad 10th gen.

The Metapen A8 is a fantastic budget-friendly Apple Pencil alternative. It delivers on pixel-precise writing, incredible 4-minute fast charging, and convenient magnetic attachment. While it lacks pressure sensitivity, its price point and overall performance make it a great daily driver for note-taking. It's smooth and sleek. Things to consider: No Pressure Sensitivity: Artists who rely heavily on varied line thickness based on how hard they press will miss this feature. Magnetic Feature Limits: The magnetic snap is a huge plus, but it won’t fit perfectly or attach to older generation iPads (like the iPad Air 3rd Gen, older Mini models, or early standard iPads). Wired Charging Only: Despite the magnetic snap, it does not charge wirelessly off the iPad. You'll need to plug in the USB-C cable to the top of the pen. Thus the 4 stars. If you want the feel and utility of an Apple Pencil without the premium price tag, the Metapen A8 is a superb daily tool for students and business professionals. It performs nearly all the same essential functions for a fraction of the cost.

I found this little Apple Pencil clone via an online review, which has proven very useful. As both of us have new iPads, I thought it would be good to try something new but as I've never had any form of electronic pencil before, I was wary of buying the new Apple Pencil Pro at £129. What if I just wasn't a pencil person, or had no artistic talent with a drawing programme? Now I'm not going to worry about the extra functionality the real Pencil Pro has and because I don't have an artistic streak I can't comment on how well it draws, or not. I also bought this because I thought it may double as a pointer for my wife, one whose pointy end won't fail after a few weeks of use (as her cheap, disposable ones do consistently). This may not be designed as a pointer but she finds it works very well with the 'point to paint' artwork she likes to complete. In fact, I haven't really had a look-in since I asked her to try it. She says it is much easier to be accurate with this pointer's end, which makes me happy. In fairness I must say when she's using it to tap-tap on iPad Air, it is noisier than a conventional fabric tipped pointer. I think it has a good weight in your hand and looks as if it will last a reasonable time (it has a spare pointy end). It charges quickly enough, the USB-C port is convenient and the 'tap-tap' action on the pencil-end to start using it and turn off works well. As does the auto-turn off after 5 minutes. From our use, I'd say it was fit for purpose and, at a fraction of the cost of the real Apple Pencil, warmly recommended. I may even buy one for myself!

I bought his pen back in March for my IPad (10th gen) and kept it for quite some months. I did not really use it that much until two months, but when I did, it had some problems. Every time it would work discretely but also either make ---- lines or not write anything at all. Every time I had to go back to the part and write the text again. I did not do much about it for a while. Last month I contacted the Costumer Service via the WhatsApp number they have on their website. I explained the problems the pen had and they were quite friendly. They gave me the option to either 1) get a full refund or 2) get a new pen, because it seemed that the tip was defective. I chose the latter, as I needed the pen at that point. They asked me to send my info for the new order through Amazon, and then they shipped it! I did not have to send the defective one back or pay additional money for the new one. It arrived after a couple of days. I have been using it since then (about a month). It works perfectly! I have no problem that I previously had with the written lines, and the battery lasts quite some time. As you might read in the description, it shows different colours for how charged it is, but it also shows a red light when it is being charged and when it is completely charged it turns white. The charge does not take long (about 30 minutes for a full one, but you can leave it charging for 10 minutes to use it for a couple of hours). I have not seen a decrease in performance for the past month and also for the battery. The package is not really high quality (at least font and colours wise), and the plastic where the pen is on is also quite cheap, but other than these things, the pen feels and looks high quality. I also really like the fact that you can choose many different colours. I personally chose the purple one. The little cover for the USB-C charging port is quite useless for me as it's too bulky for my IPad cover.

I’ve been using the Metapen A8 for a while now and I’m honestly impressed with its performance. The writing experience feels smooth and responsive, very close to using an original stylus. Ho preso questa penna per il mio iPad 8 consigliato da recensioni sia su Amazon che sul web, come alternativa all'originale che si, sarà più precisa e con qualche feature in più, ma ormai superata dalla versione 2 (non compatibile col mio dispositivo), molto più costosa e soprattutto scomodissima nella ricarica. Ho provato sia questa penna che la versione più ergonomica e con qualche caratteristica in più, ma ho fatto il reso dell'altra in quanto la trovavo scomoda e senza particolari migliorie. Questa invece è molto più simile all'originale, ha una forma che ben si impugna e si può inserire nei vari portapenne integrati in alcune cover, con la ricarica usbc estremamente comoda! La penna è piuttosto minimal, dal design lineare; ha le punte intercambiabili di ricambio, la porta usbc di ricarica è sul lato con i tappini per poterla chiudere e si accende e spegne con un doppio tap in testa. E' presente un piccolo led di stato che indica con i vari colori la carica residua, la quale è piuttosto ampia di parecchie ore. Io l'ho scelta nera come ipad e cover, ma è disponibile anche in altri colori. Non ha particolari feature (le versioni più costose hanno la percentuale di ricarica ed alcuni tocchi che attivano azioni), quindi non cancella o altro se capovolta, ma riconosce l'inclinazione modificando il tratto. Non viene riconosciuta come originale per cui non si vedrà la carica nell'ipad, però una volta abbinata inizialmente si connette all'istante una volta accesa. Il tratto sul tablet è preciso, non c'è ritardo e la scrittura così come la colorazione viene naturale, indispensabile per sfruttarla al meglio in queste due modalità. L'ho testata su pellicola effetto carta, la più famosa e recensita, ma oltre ad avere un effetto a mio avviso strano, ha consumato la punta in appena 2 ore di utilizzo, per cui la sconsiglio non essendoci punte dedicate più resistenti, ed ho fatto il reso immediatamente della pellicola per evitare altri danni. Fortunatamente il segno era lieve e comunque in dotazione ci sono altre 2 punte di ricambio. Consigliata vivamente a chiunque abbia un ipad non recentissimo (controllare prima di acquistare la compatibilità!) come valida alternativa alla Apple Pencil prima generazione, dal costo purtroppo eccessivo. La seconda generazione ha effettivamente un sacco di feature che possono giustificarne il prezzo, ma la prima proprio no, e parlo da utilizzatore di Apple da anni con molti dispositivi della mela. Fortunatamente esistono queste alternative super funzionali dal costo nettamente inferiore, che comunque sono efficaci e cambiano totalmente l'uso dell'iPad nella scrittura e disegno rispetto al tocco del dito.
