I bought this heater to warm my art studio on chilly mornings. Well, when I say art studio, it was a shed, but I insulated it, boarded it out with plywood and painted the inside (it looks lovely now). I previously tried a couple of similar heaters (from different manufacturers), but they were very quirky and esoteric to operate, so I returned them both. In a last ditch attempt at heating the art studio / shed, After reading largely favourable reviews, I ordered one of these. The advantage of this heater is that I can get Alexa to turn it on from the house a few minutes before I go out to paint, and it is toasty warm when I go out there. This one is not entirely without foibles, but it largely works for me. For example, if it is switched off at the plug, it seems to forget about the Wi-Fi and needs physically reminding to find it again. However, I just tell Alexa to turn it off (leave it plugged in) and seemingly unless it is deprived of mains power, the Wi-Fi stays connected. It has three power setting, I have it on the lowest one, 700 Watts and within about 25 minutes this morning it got my studio / shed from 6.3 C to 18 C, which is fairly impressive. It does have an internal thermostat, but it is not the most accurate, as it seems obviously to read the temperature around the heater, which is not necessarily the temperature on the other side of the room. (So I have now ordered a Govee remote humidity and temperature sensor, which by all accounts will get my room to 18 C , or even 20 C accurately). So, all in all, I am fairly contented with this heater :-).

Following some research on the most efficient types of electric heaters, I looked at this one. Partly, because it connected to Alexa but also its colour and design. It was clean and fit with the decor. Some patience and carefully reading the guide is a must when connecting to WiFi and Alexa. The App always you to set an temperature in the same way as a thermostat. There are 3 heat level setting as well. On the lowest setting, this heater warmed up a small office room quickly. It also warms any immediate area in a large room. Overall, an excellent heater with good features and ideal for anyone with energy consumption considerations.

My heating broke and I needed a heater quickly. This one appealed as I could control it from where ever I am ( Disabled so function was important). The heater itself is small and when it came I easily managed to put together the stand and get it ready for use. The app it uses is very intuitive, very easy to use and makes controlling the heater a dream. You can also use the buttons on the top of the heater if you wish to, and there is a child lock if you need to stop people meddling with your settings. it has three outputs, low medium and high, and if you set it to automatic, and then set a temperature, it will heat until it gets to that temperature then automatically turn itself onto low to maintain it. If it is knocked over it turns itself off. . What I loved was it warmed up a room quite quickly, but what I discovered was it was a very directional heat, unless its just my house. Everything in front of the heater was warm, everything behind the heater not so much. As soon as the heater was turned down the chill came quite quick, and if it was on low setting after being on hot, it felt like it was blowing cold air. However... If I turned the heater on and only put it onto low, it appeared to blow out warm air. I have felt much more congested since having the air blowing around the room so much, so much so I bought another oil radiator and will keep this for topping up when it is really cold or if someone is coming and I need to warm up a room quick. For that it is perfect. You could also set it up in a bedroom and turn it on for an hour before bed to make sure you have a cosy bedroom. you must make sure it is aways from all furnishings etc as when it is blowing out warm air, anything it blows onto warms up. I guess you could stand it near a clothes horse and dry your washing!!( not too near - as long as it was in front of it would work) In Summary.. a good wee heater.. app is very good; heat is average; unit itself is lightweight and sturdy; looks nice; blows out cool air on low and only appears to heat the area in front of it.

A quite well made device that does as advertised. Works as expected with the Govee app and with Alexa however I had hoped to incorporate the GoveeLife Electric Heater into Home Assistant, or even Smartthings but sadly this is not possible. It's not advertised as being compatible with such platforms. Maybe Govee can support making this device more compatible with other platforms to make it work in an existing smart home and not be limited to using the Govee app or Alexa voice commands. Other manufacturers are committed to making their devices more widely compatible with different platforms by adopting new standards like Thread and Matter so Govee should be keeping up here!If you're not bothered about using it with other none Govee smart home tech then I don't think you will be disappointed with this device and as a smart heater used within the Govee app, it works well.EDIT: Following this review Govee reached out to me maybe given my review might have appeared I wasn't 100% satisfied. I still don't have the heater working within Home Assistant but in any case, Govee customer support is outstanding and they clearly care about customer satisfaction!

Bought for our daughter as she had heard these were good heaters.

Good quality and good value. Its a good size and throws out lots of heat even on the lowest heat and not too noisy. Easy to assemble the base to the heater and easy to follow instructions. I used the scan code and downloaded the Govee app to my phone which was simple to use. I also found it easy to connect to my Echo Show so I can use it wireless and Alexa can turn it on and off, or you can control the heater via the app or use it manually. Really impressed with this heater and would recommend it.
