Great mold kit
This is a great mold kit. The instructions are very simple to follow. I don’t have any vacuum or anything fancy to use making these and it was my first time and it came out with virtually no bubbles and perfect for what I needed it. Definitely something great for beginners to try out with you just have to make sure to follow the instructions and that the temperature in the room is right.

Not for beginners
I have to admit I didn't completely understand what I was ordering. The detailed manual consisted of mixing instructions and a half dozen tips, the product description had more information how to make a mold. Expect to Google for instructions if you've never done it before.

great quality with double accessories for my kids *pic*
My kids made silicone molds to put resin in for jewelry-making with this kit. Even the ones that don't make jewelry helped makes these molds. Love that this kit comes with 2 of everything. It made for 2 groups to help make these silicone molds. So, my older kids took the lead and the younger ones helped out. One group followed the instructions to the T and their silicone molds hardened correctly, after the allotted 4-6 hours of curing time. The other group mixed too much of the "B" liquid instead of equal ratio of A and B. So, their mold was still wet and gloppy after 6 hours of curing. They waited another 6 hours and did harden more but still squishy. After another full day, then it hardened correctly (see pic). It's a great kit for beginners like my younger kids as well as somewhat experienced ones like my older teens. My older kids love this kit, compared to the other 2 they've tried.Markedly recommended.

The world is not enough—you need custom molds too!
This is a great kit for making custom molds. If you have a solid original that can withstand the molding process, then you can recreate it in other mediums by making a silicone mold of it with this kit. The instructions are kinda confusing, but you basically find the object you want to duplicate, create a form around the object to ensure you have a complete mold, mix the silicone mold making materials 1:1 (by vol or wt) in a single direction to avoid a lot of bubbles, let the mixture sit and gas off for a few minutes, then pour it into your form and let it sit for about four hours (I let it sit overnight just to be sure). It is easy to demold from the original object and creates a fairly flexible mold (I used it for resin). This mold kit contains all that you need to get started—it is for experienced molders, or bold beginners with good GoogleFu. This silicone is food safe, so you could get really creative with chocolate molds, cake molds, marzipan molds, etc. Overall it is a little costly for the $$$, but is worth it if you need food safe silicone. This would make an awesome gift for the “creative” in your life.

Excellent product for mold making- easy to use.
I got this to carefully learn about mold making and resin casting with the end result being lightweight items produced from molds- to use in multi-media artwork on canvas. My first try went well with a mold made of a horseshoe that I then cast with resin and after a little trimming- now I have a very lightweight horseshoe! Perfect for my artwork and this product was easy to use- just go slow and mix and pour with care. Great find!

Mostly successful first try
My wife says: I am a newbie at this so I found the inconsistencies in the listing and the directions somewhat disconcerting -eg: measuring by volume vs. weight; bubble free/self degassing vs. using a vacuum machine to evacuate for 1-2 minutes. Fortunately, the silicone seems to be forgiving. I measured by weight -but the volumes seemed similar. There were bubbles (What beginner has a vacuum machine?) but they did not seem to affect the quality of the mold. It's going to take some practice to figure out what I can mold and de-mold successfully (since I'm using it for clay which deforms easily) but on the whole I am happy with my first attempt.

Worked but
I'm not sure if I used it right, but I had a lot of bubbles for my mold. It's good but because I'm pretty new to using mold makers I'm not sure if I did it right. I've messed up with other ones as well. All I can right about it my experience using it. It was easy to measure, stir and pour. But there were bubbles everywhere and I didn't know how to fix that. I'm sure it was probably something I didn't know how to fix. But the mold did come out nice. After doing some tweaking.
