This griddle is better than the one that came with my gas range. Love it, is thick, cleans easy, and cooks evenly.

I bought this to replace the original teflon-covered aluminum griddle that came with my stove. It paid for itself in the first week, as it heats more evenly, cleans more easily, and looks better (no flaking teflon!). Cast iron should last almost forever with proper care, and this has becomes completely non-stick within about 50 uses. Woud absolutely recommend to anyone who cooks breakfast regularly.

I love that this is actually made out of cast-iron. Our stove came with an aluminum griddle with the nonstick coating. I have five kids and a husband. Somebody used a knife or a metal spatula and scraped it within the first week. It’s scratched all the pieces now and I don’t wanna be eating whatever kind of coating is on it. This one is actually made of cast-iron. I seasoned it with coconut oil, used a little olive oil spray and fried a couple of over easy eggs. The second picture is after I took the eggs off and wiped it down with a dry cloth. This did an amazing job for being brand new. I prefer my cast-iron second generation because the surface tends to be a little smoother, but for a brand new cast-iron griddle, this did everything I hoped it would do. Pancakes are my next challenge. I don’t believe the heat distribution will be as good on this as it was with the aluminum, but I won’t get little bitty pieces of nonstick coating in my pancakes. I can fit 8 -1/4 pound burger patties on this comfortably, I will need to rotate them to make sure that the outside ones get cooked. That has nothing to do with it being cast-iron that’s got to do with the burner on my stove, but hopefully that helps people know how large this is. Six French toast fit on this and cook well.

I really wanted to like this replacement griddle. It is cast iron (definitely seems, very heavy), but it is still coated, and unfortunately that is a problem because my family and I switched all our stuff to non coated because of future flaking issues and coating particles in our food. The other issue is that it's a tad bit smaller, so it slides around a bit when making food on the griddle. For these 2 reasons alone, we will not be using this product. I do want to add though, that it is better than the original one that came with our stove, but still doesn't meet those 2 tests above.

Purchased to replace the OEM aluminum griddle provided by the oven manufacturer. Width exactv fit but length 1/4 inch short and dies not rest on two of the oven's silicone bumpers. Otherwise high quality cast iron -- heats evenly and can be seasoned as needed. Would buy again if needed.

Our original griddle was getting scratched up and I don't like cooking on that non-stick surface with bad chemicals, so was looking for a good cast iron upgrade. This one seems to be an exact replica of the original, but made with cast iron. I wish it had a smoother cooking surface, but I might use a power sander to achieve that sometime. I've done that kind of thing on a couple cast iron skillets, so it would work for this too. For now I started out seasoning it by baking it in the oven before I tried cooking on it. I did three rounds of seasoning. If you're not familiar with seasoning cast iron, just Google it or look on YouTube and there are step by step instructions that would apply to this griddle, just like it would for a cast iron skillet. This is very important to do before you cook with it. This griddle seems to be great if you're already familiar with how to deal with cast iron cookware. I think this new griddle makes the stove look better too, now that the old scratched up griddle is gone.

Great grill.. I'm replacing my stock one that started to peel the coating. Asked the seller a question and was super quick to respond and very helpful. Grill is a bit rough but after seasoning it 3x it works amazing.
