I use these for drawing in a Kuru Toga mechanical pencil.I did wonder whether the whole 'nano diamond' thing was a gimmick but I'd say no, these are better than the pentel leads I used to use.Beautifully smooth but also strong.Highly recommended.

These work just great with a .5 pencil. I have used 2Bs for ten years writing music and drawing teaching diagrams - I need a soft lead to get the notes and drawings nice and dark. These leads work as well as any I have used in the last ten years so you can buy with confidence. You would expect these to be soft AND break as a result, but these work just fine and don't break any more than a 'normal' HB lead - but look much darker on the page. A very nice leadthat works faultlessly in my high tech pencil.
