First impression good but we will see.
Only had for a few days but it sems of good quality, I will try and remember to come back and up date once I have had it for a while.Wind arm is sturdy enough that I have no concerns about lasting the test of time, a minutes winding gives a good long duration of light. YOU TUBE has someone testing it against other brands.I got this to keep in my car, as of course standard torches always have flat or nearly flat batteries when you actually need them. I had a shark wind up torch I also got off of Amazon but after a year and I needed to use I fund the switch had become faulty and take lots of tries before it will work, tried to take it apart but it is a sealed unit. So I got the Secur to see if that is more reliable, will update on my expereince once I have had ti for a while.Just one more thing I got a little led torch for my daughter to take on a school trip, It was a FordEx Group 7w 300lm Mini Cree Led Flashlight directly from Amazon. It is quite a bit brighter than the Secur and was only £5. Of course the Secur is rewindable and is bright but as I was so impressed with the FordEx I though I would mention it.

Great For Hikers, Campers, Boaters & Divers
You never quite know what you'll find at Grandma's. Today it was a shower stall full of gizmos that claim to be rain & shower proof and a huge mixing bowl full of water and waterproof flashlights like this Secur Waterproof Hand crank 3 LED Flashlight , which claims to be waterproof up to 45 feet deep. I'm not a scuba diver so I couldn't test it at that depth, but I did submerse it in a 20 quart mixing bowl full of water. First, let me point out that if you happen to take this baby out on your boat and drop it overboard, you'll have plenty of time to execute a rescue. It floats. If you want to actually submerse the flashlight you'll need to push it under. Yes, the flashlight works every bit as well under water as it does above!Operation is simple. The flashlight contains 3 LEDs. A large button on the face of the flashlight controls the amount of light the LEDs deliver - one click lights the center LED, two clicks light all three LEDs and three clicks sets the LEDs to flashing. With a full charge on board you'll get 8 hours of light using one LED or 4 hours of light using all three. The unit has an expected lifespan of 5 years or 50,000 LED hours. There is a loop at the end of the light through which it could be attached to a vest or backpack.▶︎ The Secur Waterproof Hand crank 3 LED Flashlight charges by way of a hand crank located on the back of the unit. To charge the battery lift the handle and turn it clockwise at a rate of about 3 revolutions per second for 1 to 3 minutes.● Note that this unit does not require USB charging● While the current manual that accompanies this flashlight, Model SP-1001, refers to a built in solar panel, that is an error in the manual. The manufacturer is aware of the error and is in the process of issuing corrected manual. There is a nearly identical flashlight from the same company, Secur Waterproof Hand crank or built in Solar powered 3 LED Flashlight , that does include a built in solar panel.Grandma's $0.02 - This handy flashlight delivers a decent amount of light and can act as an emergency beacon if required. Its ability to float, functionality under water and manual recharge make this ideal for boating, diving and camping.Recommended
