Best Forceps I've owned for fishing!
Mainly bought these because I am extremely OCD about not hurting large mouth bass while fishing in so cal. Sometimes on a late hook set a bass will swallow the hook and I use these to carefully perform surgery through the gills or whatever needs to be done to save it's life so they can grow up and be caught one day when they are a hog. These are the best i've owned.

6 week update: The forceps Broke! 9 week update another forceps broke, really?
I had these for 6 weeks and the forceps broke removing a deep hook from a smallmouth bass. I was shocked to discover the finger loops on the were not a complete circle of metal, but rather cheap plastic bonded to the metal frame of the forceps (see the picture). That is exactly were these brokeThe metal is claimed be stainless steel with a big price tag, the expectation was these forceps would be rust resistant and durable. They are not! Needed to spray them down with WD40 weekly. The manufactures web site claims a life time warranty but the require the original packaging to be retuned as proof of purchase. Right, how any people save original packaging on fishing tools. I will send these back for a warranty claim with the Amazon invoice. If I get a hard time I will update this review9 week update: Cuda sent me a new forceps under warranty at no charge. Took the cover of the boat to put then in and found another forceps broken in a different place I do keep the forceps locked for ease of storage, but these are really that cheaply made. Rust continues to grow, so much for stainless? These are the most expensive fishing forceps I have every bought at $25 a pair, yet 2 of 3 pairs failed after 90 days. Back to Dr Slick Long Range Clamps on the boat, cheaper and they will last years, not weeksCuda scissors are so good, how can the Cuda forceps be so bad?

Comfortable when using in cold and/or wet conditions
I fish jerkbaits a lot and these definitely helped remove the hooks when the fish swallowed the lure. Had regular hemostats before and when my hands are wet and/or cold they hurt to pinch them down and to release them. These are much more comfortable.Much easier and lighter than long nose pliers.Haven’t shown any signs of corrosion or defects.

Good quality
These worked pretty good. I used them on Rainbow Trout. I did not use the hook sharpener. 10/10 would buy again.

Cheap plastic handles.
You would assume the whole handle is stainless but its not. They broke after one fishing trip. As seen on the pictures they are made cheaply

These Forceps Don’t Hold Up
After about 3 months of being satisfied with this product I noticed some corrosion around the joint. A few moths later the arm simply snapped off. This is one of the most disappointing purchases I’ve even made. Not worth it buying cheap gear.

Replacing a mine after 2yrs use. My previous one ...
Replacing a mine after 2yrs use. My previous one broke after I accidentally stepped on it. The steel does not extend fully around finger rings. That may be a problem after extended use, but it took my 200lbs of force stepping on it to break (and only partially break). Served well during normal use. If you're familiar with surgical tools, this is essentially a needle driver with rubberized grip on the finger rings. For those that aren't, place your thumb and ring finger in the finger rings and use your pointer and middle to help manipulate the forceps. Big enough to reach down pike/pickerel, small enough to dehook small crappie and larger sunfish. I'm buying one again, that should say enough.

Defective
Haven't even used them for a fish yet. Cut some line with them, locked the pliers and set them down. Came back into my garage and they were broken. To much tension to lock them in my opinion.
