Book five of this series is off the charts. Many twists and turns, secrets, and steamy scenes. Ivan and Cilla's story is dark and has many triggers, so please be advised. Cilla has been abused all her life by her father and his men. All she wants is to be free once and for all. When her father gives her one last assignment to earn her freedom, she jumps on it. This assignment leads her to Ivan and having to drug him. However, it backfires and things take a turn for her and Ivan. Ivan is known as the "animal" among Adrian's men. He has a quick temper and stays to himself. When Cilla tries to drug him, he flips the tables until they both get caught. Now, his only goal is to keep Cilla safe and kill her father. The only problem is he lets his revenge get in the way of what truly matters. I really enjoyed book five of this series. I liked both characters, especially Cilla. She went through so much and still came out stronger than ever. I am interested to see how book six goes, which focuses on Alexi.

Ivan Doubeck, one of the most dangerous men in the city, falls trap to Priscilla (Cilla) Capri. Cilla, living a forced life as a prostitute for her father to trade and sell away as he sees fit. Given a choice between life or death on a daily basis, always searching and hoping for freedom. Prisoners together in a cesspool of designer drugs, bound by her deception and ruled by their desire for each other. As their societies open season closes, the final choice is given between life and death. Overall, Cilla's POVs are torturous as what her father did to her through her life comes more and more to light. However, Ivan's is only touched base upon when in comparison. I liked how they were immediately drawn together though, seeking comfort from one another, with her ability to tame the beast within him and him able to help her live a safer world. Where will the Doubeck crime famiglia goes towards next??? I have some thoughts as the two final members come towards their own: Andrea - ?? Maybe a certain FBI agent in lockup? Alexei - ?? Maybe the woman he's torturing at the end of this book? Ivan-Cilla Michail-Selene Kai-Rose Adrian-Valentina

I think this book in the series was the most suspense in it . Cillia is a girl that has been going through a lot of pain with what has been happening in her life ,and when she has to seduce Ivan . Ivan is part of the five and he has been called a lot things including an animal ,but when he sets eye on cillia he believes that she will be just another conquest ,but when he wakes up in a cell drug things can't any worse . Cilla and Ivan will go through a lot to find and trust each other ,but in the end they realize that they can't live without each other . Can't wait for the next one in the series this book is a most decent book to read .

I’ve read all the books in the series and enjoyed them all, except for this one. The characters had little backstory, and the plot had enough holes to drive a truck through. A little reminder of what Ivan went through would have been helpful, and Cilla, well, Cilla was a lost cause. Doormat would have been a better name. She didn’t show any spark and wanted to release the woman who almost got Ivan’s friend killed. Really? She was even ambivalent about her father. I hope the last book in the series is better.

This one was dark. All the abuse these men have experienced is heartbreaking. This was a story that I was going to read for a long time.

Even though this one was surprising at every turn, this one, I'm going to have to say was my least favorite out of this series. Not because of the storyline, but mainly the way the herione was set up. Don't get me wrong, it's understandable what she went through, that's how traumatized she is, however to keep that same mentality, and not seek justice or revenge? It kind of killed the mood, but my boy Ivan definitely made this story worth reading!!

Unforgettable Story. Ivan and Cilla's story is so intense I felt it clear down to my bones. I think I held my breath so many times from the situations they had to face I'd forget to breath altogether or at least that's how it felt. This book has to be one of the most exciting books I've read thus far I'm definitely a fangirl of Ms. Beck's books.

Leave your trigger warnings at the door. This starts dark gets darker and somewhere in between you get Misty eyed and your heart starts to ache for the love between the two main characters.

Love all the books about the Doubeck family and this one keeps up the stellar achievements. We follow Cilla and Ivan here tho we do keep in touch with characters we’ve met in previous books. Love the interactions between CIlla and Ivan here, even tho they didn’t have the best initial encounter they soon came to work together albeit reluctantly at first. Enjoyed the story which was full of suspense, another great read from one of my favourite authors.

I really enjoy this series. Some pretty dark topics are discussed, but the development is really good, the scenes are hot and happy endings

Bound to Deception is book 5 in the Doubeck Crime Family series and it's Ivan and Pricilla's story. Whilst I really enjoyed the book, I have to be honest and say it's not my favourite book out of the 5. I just feel I didn't get enough background on the main characters which stopped me from connecting with them. It's not stopping me from counting down the days till book 6 is released though.

It’s a good one time read. I wanted to why Cilla’s father did what he did but there was no explanation around his maniac behavior. Or maybe I need to read other stories in this series to understand better. Looking fwd to read Andrea’s story.

I saw this on Tiktok and was intrigued. I couldn't put it down. Liked it so much I'm reading the whole series.
