I received this over the weekend, today’s Monday and I’ve been using it today at work. What a deal!! One of the other guys has one of the more expensive brands, and I’ve used it many times. This topdiag does just as much at a 1/3 of the price. Came with Soft case, 20ft extension cord, cigarette lighter plug. I like that this one changes the whole screen color, Green for negative, Red for positive. I do wish it had a steady beep with diff tones, but the slow beep for negative, and fast beep for positive is doable. All in all I’m very happy with my purchase, and it was next day delivery. For the price it’s a no brainer. If anything changes in the future, I’ll update, but so far im impressed!

Great little tool for the price. Only 3 things I would change. 1. Needs more tip options. The only one they give is pretty big and long which brings me to #2. The bag/box they give you doesn't allow for it to be stored without removing the tip every time which is very annoying. 3. Instead of a cigarette lighter adapter a obd2 plug adapter would be better in my opinion since most newer vehicles don't have them any more. All in all for the price its a VERY nice unit.

full disclosure, i received this a few days ago and i havent used it yet. but i had been looking at the power probe but finding it hard to justify the price. i saw this on sale for less than 1/3 the price of the power probe, but hesitated on it, becuase i didnt know if it had the same features. one in particular, when testing for +12 and gnd, the power probe will only give a "go" signal if the voltage is within 0.8v of supply. this is handy as it wont give a "false positive" on a high resistance connection. i read through all of the comment sand questions and could not find anyone mentioning weather or not this model had that feature, so, before i bought i downloaded the manual, and it stated that is DOES share this feature, so, i bought one. looks to be of sufficient quality to perform the needed tasks, so as it stands im content with saving a substantial chunk of change.

Troubleshooting electrical gremlins has always been frustrating for me. I've seen videos of people using power probes to diagnose and test circuits and was impressed, but those things were expensive. Now that the market is saturated with clones and the price has dropped significantly, it's time to have one of these in your toolbox! The ability to determine power and ground sources is huge in itself-doing this with a typical DMM is cumbersome. The super power of these probes is the ability to apply power or ground to a device to test its functionality. This unit feels well built, the extra extension cord is a nice touch. Every home handyman should have one.
