My son really enjoyed this toy, and it was on sale for so low, it was practically free! What's not to like?

This Special Attack Dragonoid Bakugan is a neat way to test the waters with the new Bakugan spinoff before diving into a more comprehensive, pricier set. If your kids are fans of the standard Bakugans, chances are they'll dig this version and get pumped about a fresh style of play. My youngest son was thrilled to incorporate it into his collection, and it's become a hit with my grandsons who are big fans of both Beyblades and Bakugan. As for durability, these toys can be a bit delicate, particularly if they're forced. However, kids tend to have a blast with them regardless, so having a few extras on standby is handy. The spinning action induced by the ripcord in this Special Attack Dragonoid is a surefire hit—cue the "Bakugan Brawl!!!" excitement. It's amusing to see how this Bakugan combines elements of both Beyblades and Bakugans from a few years back. It now features a ripcord and spinning base, akin to Beyblade toys, while still functioning as an unfolding Bakugan figure on top. When the Bakugan spins over a card or hits something hard, it automatically unfolds and opens up—a nifty twist, though its fit within the original Bakugan game is a bit fuzzy. Nonetheless, it's fun and makes for a fantastic stocking stuffer, especially for kids aged 5 to 7.

This Bakugan, Special Attack Dragonoid, Spinning Collectible, Customizable Action Figure and Trading Cards, Kids Toys for Boys and Girls 6 and up is a good way to see if your kids will like the new special attack bakugans before buying a more extensive, more expensive kit. If your kids like the regular Bakugans, they will probably like this version as well and be excited about a new way to play. My youngest son liked it and was excited to add it to his collection.

I gave this to my sons (ages 4 and 10) to play with. We have other bakugans (that are not shooters). This one feels like it's trying to be a beyblade but isn't quite there. The bakugan, when folded up, is only half of a circle. The other two pieces click on the bottom but it's not very easy to keep it together which just made everybody frustrated. My kids stopped playing with it quickly, and I felt like they didn't play with it like a regular (circular) bakugan that you can throw and open. And they didn't play with it like a beyblade because it was hard to get the launch parts all assembled (independently.) I could have helped them each time, but then that defeats the purpose. I don't want to be playing with bakugans...
