My absolute lifesaver! I discovered this product a few years ago as I was desperately searching for a solution to the chronically peeling skin around my chin due to a compromised skin barrier. I tried so many deep moisturizers, ultra hydrating creams, facial oils, etc., and was beginning to think that I was just going to have to accept peeling skin on my face as my new reality.When I came across this moisturizer, I was incredibly surprised how effective it was. It doesn’t have all of the catchy buzz words as some other moisturizers, but don’t be fooled by its simplicity. This is the ONLY facial moisturizer that will actually hydrate and nourish my skin from the inside out. I use this morning and night as well as periodically throughout the day as needed. It’s deeply effective while also staying very lightweight, so I find that it sits under makeup well and also works great as final hydrating layer on top of products used in my nighttime routine.My skin has transitioned from being dry all over to combination, with my forehead being the oily region of my face. This moisturizer also doesn’t make the oily parts of my face feel like a complete oil slick.I highly recommend this product. It is completely fragrance-free, lightweight, and a very high value product given the affordability. This has absolutely become a staple in my routine and have not drifted away to experiment or find something “better”. An easy, five stars from me!

I don't usually write reviews but this cream has been a miracle for my rosacea skin. I recently had brain surgery so a hot, dry inflamed face can really intensify how uncomfortable it feels for me. This cream though so far after a few days of day and night has made my skin feels buttery smooth without a gunky oily feeling, no burning, and is literally repairing my skin barrier beyond anything else I havr tried. I have tried alot of other brands Byoma, Murad, Aveeno sensitive skin, Cerave(2nd best), Vanicream, etc.I wish they made a toner and serum, I would buy in a heart beat.I am purchasing the big bottle because I had amazing results. My pores look smaller which has made me feel very self conscious especially because I am just now learning how to take care of my skin after years of caring for my elderly father who just recently passed.This cream has really given me hope in looking naturally beautiful with minimal effort because the Lord knows brain and spine surgery is debilating and I sometimes can't put too much time into long skin care routines. Especially right now where I can't bend or twist and lift anything over 5 pounds.This creams LASTS and I love gliding my finger along my smooth silky skin. Nothing has ever made my face feel like this. I am so grateful and beyond impressed. Finally a cream just for me.Thank you Etude 2x Intensive Cream.

Update: I’ve been using this moisturizer for some time now, and I genuinely think this is the best moisturizer I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this product enough. I’m a huge Sephora girlie, and I’ve tried a lot of skincare from all the popular brands throughout the years. A lot of them weren’t hydrating enough, had strong fragrances, and/or had so many unnecessary additives. And for several years, I settled on Belief’s water bomb moisturizer. It was good enough, but I knew my skin wasn’t the best it could be and I didn’t exactly know why. One day, I got really fed up over the state of my skin. My barrier was so damaged at this point, which was really confusing for me because I also regularly got expensive facials in LA. After a long week of researching my specific skin type with GPT, this product was recommended to me. I’m so incredibly happy it did, because it’s perfect. Super affordable, clean, hydrating, and lightweight. Love this moisturizer so much. It’s the best I’ve ever had. That said, I also highly recommend Facile’s skincare line. Only simple and necessary ingredients with no fragrance. Their products with this moisturizer has been an absolute 10/10. It’s been over 2 years since my skin has looked this good and healthy. I am a Very happy customer!Exactly what it says it is! It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and literally does not smell like anything. It’s been really hydrating on my acne prone and sensitive skin. No irritation and has helped recover my skin barrier a ton. Love love love. Will definitely restock as soon as I’m done with it. The price is great too.

The cream itself is great, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and it's nice and moisturizing and absorbs nicely, however the design of the lid is just the worst. You have to rotate the lid like 1/8 of a turn in order to dispense the product, it smushes out the sides of this flap thing, making it difficult to dispense a small amount, and then you have to smear it off the tip part, then you cannot snap the lid closed until you rotate it back the 1/8 turn. It's unnecessarily complicated and difficult to use with one hand. What made this lid design something they picked over a normal lid? The DearKlairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream is at least as good as this, has a metal tube and a normal lid.

After hearing so much about Korean skincare, I finally decided to give it a try and put together a complete routine. This product is one of several that I purchased, including the COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, Etude Soon Jung Cleanser, Anua Heartleaf 77 Toner, Biodance Collagen Peptide Serum, Biodance Collagen Peptide Cream, Etude Soon Jung 2x Barrier Cream, and Biodance Collagen Mask.I have really enjoyed learning how to use the different products together. Rather than expecting one product to do everything, each one has its own place in my routine.What I have noticed most is how even, hydrated, soft, and smooth my skin feels. My skincare routine has actually become something I look forward to instead of something I just need to get done.I'm reviewing the different products in my Korean skincare routine, so I don't want to claim that one particular product is responsible for every result I'm seeing. I'm using them together, and I've been very pleased with the routine as a whole.I've also learned that a little goes a long way with many of these products. I apply them in layers and give each one a little time to absorb before moving on to the next.If you've been curious about Korean skincare but have been overwhelmed by all the different products, I was there too! I'm glad I finally decided to try it.So far, my skin is loving the extra hydration, and I'm looking forward to continuing to see the results with regular use.

As the owner of skin that is both dry + acne-prone, I require a moisturizer that does NOT…- clog my pores- require reapplication between my AM & PM routines- sting if my skin is sensitized…I’m not asking for much, right?!Well, if you’re reading this review, you probably know that basically every moisturizer has some fatal flaw — too greasy, not moisturizing enough, hydrating but not occlusive, overpoweringly scented, breakout-inducing, stingy, prohibitively expensive, texturally gross, etc.I research all skincare products via incidecoder.com to check for irritating/comedogenic/red-flag ingredients so I can decide based on the chemical info provided whether a product is even compatible with my skin type before I buy & try.Enter Soon Jung 2x Barrier Cream: I was kinda stunned when I finally stumbled on this after a ridiculous amount of trial & error.Effectively & chemically, it’s a great product, especially for those of you with dry, acne-prone, and/or sensitive skin.Not only did it pass my INCI test with flying colors, but it actually follows through on its claims in practice.Whew! It’s really no wonder so many people rave about it.Here are all the boxes it ticks, and more:- Actually non-comedogenic; very unlikely to cause breakouts- Non-irritating; doesn’t sting at all, even on accidentally-over-exfoliated skin. This is extra important for me since I’m about to start a Tretinoin + Azelaic Acid formula.- Relatively short & simple ingredient list with quite a few powerhouse “goodies”- Fragrance-free and no notable scent. If you have a very sensitive nose, you might detect a very diluted/distant “unscented lotion” smell.- Inexpensive & worth it. The tube is not huge, but knowing the other moisturizers out there, I would still buy this at double the cost.- Actually moisturizing; I only have to apply it once in my AM routine and once in the PM (taking my other hydrating & drying products into account)- It’s packaged in a hygienic tube (pots get contaminated easily from touching the contents). The tube is also kinda fun since it comes out in a lil ring!- It has a very luxurious & smooth texture; it’s easy to spread on, no pulling or pilling, even over other products (layers nicely. I picked up this ETUDE SoonJung 2x Intensive Cream Trio Set to help calm things down, and it is nothing short of a holy grail product.Here is how it performs when your skin needs serious help:The Formula: It is formulated specifically for barrier repair, and it genuinely works. It instantly soothes any stinging or redness. It doesn't contain any heavy fragrances or irritating essential oils, which is exactly what you want when your skin is acting up.The Texture: Despite being an 'Intensive Cream', the texture is surprisingly elegant. It goes on rich but absorbs very cleanly without leaving you feeling like you are coated in a heavy layer of grease.The Value: Buying this as a trio set is a fantastic deal compared to buying single tubes. I keep one on my bathroom vanity, one in my travel bag, and a backup in the drawer.The Minor Drawback:Because it is designed to lock in moisture, it is quite a rich cream. If you have very oily skin, you might find it slightly too heavy for daytime use, especially if you are layering it under a thick sunscreen. I have very sensitive, ultra dry skin with Rosacea. I have been using ETUDE house 2x barrier intensive repair cream at night for about two weeks now , it has completely changed my skin. Texture is so smooth, pores smaller, redness and irritation has healed. It leaves my skin extremely hydrated without being greasy of feeling heavy. It actually is very soothing. Actually a few nights ago I have tried a new very expensive designer moisturizer which caused me to have a reaction. Few minutes after applying I was breaking out in a rash. I immediately washed it off and applied this soon jung barrier cream and it immediately calmed my skin. I love this cream. It’s amazing and the price is fantastic for how good this stuff is. I will be buying extra to have on hand.Update: I have in fact bought more bottles to have on hand. I saw that are refreshing the packaging design. I’m kinda bummed about that as I like the innovative locking cap. When I first got the product it did take me a second to figure it out but it is rather simple and inventive design. You simply give a slight counter clockwise twist to the top. It unlocks the top and you can flip open. I like the ring dispenser too. To close you flip down the lid but not all the way. Twist the cap back and push down the lid to complete the lock. I love it. It is prefect if you have this stored in a travel bag. There is no risk of accidental leaks and loss of product. Once I saw the packaging change I immediately bought more of the older designs to have on hand.I have also purchased several other products from this brand I am trying out. Including sunscreen, toner, essence balm, eyelash serum. So far I am very impressed with everything. My skin has never been so plum and refreshed. I have tried almost every brand from la roche posey, Thomas Peter Roth, naturium, avene, the ordinary and sooo many more. I think I found my go to skincare line.I hope they come out with a body care line. I will be buying it all!

I bought this moisturizer for my daughter, who has very sensitive skin, and we are very happy with it. It is very gentle and does not cause any irritation or stinging.It feels light on the skin, absorbs well, and leaves a fresh, hydrated feeling without being heavy or greasy. It’s perfect for daily use, especially for sensitive skin.We will definitely repurchase. Highly recommended!

The best lightweight, yet deeply hydrating moisturiser I have ever come across!!!! This is my third re-purchase and I will be continuing to buy!! I have combination skin and it sits beautifully all day. I do find in humid, summer weather it can be a little heavy, so I use a much thinner layer, but it's perfect for keeping my winter dryness away.

Ich benutze diese Creme abends nach meinem Retinol und bin sehr zufrieden. Obwohl die Textur eher flüssig ist, spendet sie meiner Haut richtig viel Feuchtigkeit. Sie hat eine etwas reichhaltigere, leicht ölige Konsistenz, weshalb sie mir als Tagescreme etwas zu schwer wäre. Für die Nacht finde ich sie aber perfekt.Man braucht nur eine kleine Menge, sodass die Creme sehr ergiebig ist und lange hält. Meine Haut fühlt sich am nächsten Morgen schön weich und gepflegt an.
