Perfect for acoustic electric violins
Bought fish man loudbox pro which is a decent amp for an acoustic electric violin. I was recommended a preamp to help with signal and boosting signal from the piezo pickup within the violin. I was a bit reluctant at first but finally bought the LR baggs venue di box and it’s absolutely amazing it’s taken all the harshness from the amp and produced a really clear warm tone which wasExactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to improve their amplified sound on violin. The lr baggs unit really compliments it well

and useful boost option
A very high-end product with an instant and obvious improvement to the quality of sound from my LR Baggs-equiped Gibson LG2. Plenty of options to tweak sound, removes the harshness of the raw sound, very accurate high-visibility tuner, and useful boost option. Even has nice carrying case. Recommended without hesitation.

Ok
Ok too complicated for meThe tuner wasn’t that great as it picked up vibrations from other instruments in the band

Faultless!
I've had this DI for a few years now, using it for both acoustic and bass guitar and love it.Not only is it incredible, sound-wise, it is also versatile, allowing me to keep my guitar perfectly in tune throughout the evening, as well as to mute or boost, should the need arise.I have a Taylor 614CE and was investigating replacing my pickup, but decided to try this Venue first, and was hugely happy with the tonal improvement. For anyone who's similarly less than happy with their built-in pickup, this might be a non-destructive and also multi-instrument upgrade.

NOT AN ACOUSTIC SOUND
The pedal is very loud but it doesn’t bring out the natural sound of the Acoustic Guitar. The Voiceprint ID is more in the genre of a naturally sounding preamp pedal.

Great device for Acoustic Guitar
I've been using this for over two years now and gig with it regularly. I also have the Para Acoustic DI, and it's also in regular use.The EQ on the Venue is versatile and works very well with both my regular gigging guitars, one with a D-TAR Wavelength UST and the other with an LR Baggs Anthem. The notch filter comes in very handy as I know now which guitar needs which frequency notched in my regular gigging venue. I use the boost for bluegrass solos and send a DI out to the mixer. The features that would make me buy one of these over the Para Acoustic DI is the mute switch, boost and clip meter. I haven't seen the clip meter mentioned much in other reviews, but to me it's a fantastic feature that helps with with gain staging and preventing clipping.ProsClip meterBoost button with trim to adjust boost levelMute switchEQ is fantasticGround lift - I've needed that a few times for electrical issues in venuesZipper case is usefulShape - the angled front panel makes stomping on the buttons easier than on say the Fishman Platinum Pro EQKnobs - these are so much easier to use on stage than the Para Acoustic DIEffects loopAmp output for monitoringConsThe tuner isn't great and it's too bright. A dimmer would be useful. I rely on my Polytune headstock tuner instead. No phantom power. If they ditched the tuner I guess this would work with phantom? No PSU supplied. Come on. What's up with that?
