Thermalright CPU Contact Frame for LGA 1700 Retrofit Kit, 17XX-BCF Bracket Intel 12th/13th/14th Generation Anti-Bending Buckle Black

I used this to fit an i9 14900K CPU on an ASUS motherboard with a 4090 GPU. I used an AIO water cooler with 360mm radiator in the CPU and the whole lot keeps really cool even playing the most intensive of games. The system rarely breaches 70deg. It helps in the cooling process no end, it’s easy to fix and fits snugly around the CPU. Thoroughly recommended and good value for money.

Well worth the money, the edges are CNC machined (some reviews on YouTube say the edges are rough but this is not the case. I had an issue where my i7-14700K was hitting 100c degrees within 5-10 seconds when under load which caused it to thermal throttle (Slow the CPU down to produce less heat) this had a slight effect on performance on CPU heavy workloads. Now with this CPU contact frame the maximum is 93c so no throttling present. This means in Cinebench my score went from 31k to over 33k points.

Absolutely worth it. The benefits (for me at least) depend on how much stress the cpu is under. Not a whole lot of temp reduction at idle, but a decent amount under normal load/gaming. Then, under extreme load, reduced temps by about 15-20°c. I used to hit the 90-100° zone quite often, and now I’ve never seen it go above 85°. Excellent value for money, easy to install and comes with thermal paste. Doesn’t come with the hex screw things, or the backplate, so you’ll have to steal those from the original bracket (without these, this product can’t be used)

I have a i9 14900k like a lot of people using this cpu I looked for ways to keep it cooler It thermal throttled after 2 minutes on 100% load and went to 102 degrees with a 240 aio I put an old 360 nzxt aio on it and it managed to get the temps down to the low 92 on 100% load and was stable at that I bought this contact frame hoping it might help out with a few degrees but I was surprised just how big a difference my cpu know sits at 100% load at 82 degrees for 10 hour stress test this frame if your thinking of getting 1 I would buy it I thought it was a bit of a gimmick tbh but for me it’s made my pc run how it’s supposed to run I think Intel should supply these frames with there cpu I would recommend every 14900k owner to fit this

Dropped temps a little, I imagine identical to other higher priced items online, needed.. more novelty I guess.

After seeing a few reviews saying that this had lowered temps on their i9-14 series processors I thought it was worth a try. When putting my system under 100% load it would hit 100 degrees at peak, this is with water cooling (Corsair H150) and no overclocking. Since installing this device it's lowered ideal temps by 7 degrees and loaded temps by ~15 degrees. incredible. Tested this out further with Cyber Punk 2077 at max settings, stable at just over 80 degrees the entire time. Superb value for money.

Easy to install, good value for money, reduced the temp of my intel i5-14600k by about 5c. About the same thickness as the intel 14th CPUs. The free provided thermal paste seems to be reasonable quality. Looks smart (although not visible under most CPU fans/AIO). Hopefully will prevent cpu bend over time.

I have a i7 13700kf and have noticed since i got it that the temps while idle and gaming are extremely high. ive tried everything with fan curves and the like. While all that has made some change in lowering the temps i still felt more could be done. Thats how i came across this product. It is extremely easy to install and even comes with instructions just in case youre a little unsure. Once i booted up into a game, ive noticed my cpu temps have often been a few degrees lower than my GPU! My GPU only gets 65-70 degrees on 1440p gaming so the fact my CPU has shown lower temps is mind blowing! GET ONE TODAY!

I'll start off with stating I didn't try to see how hot it would get without installing the frame. After watching a few of the videos about the potential issue with the 12900k I didn't want to take any chances. I originally was going to go with a more expensive brand, but after I watched a Gamers Nexus video about this frame I decided to give it a shot. It cost well below the more expensive one and seemed like it would do the trick. The processor I replaced was a 9900k I'd had for a few years. I had bought a NZXT Kraken X73 I'd used with the 9900k and had to wait on the mounting bracket for the LGA 1700. Since I was waiting on the bracket I decided to order the frame. Bottom line is if you follow the Gamers Nexus video you will have no problem installing this frame properly and shouldn't have any issues with the processor getting too hot. I added tick marks to the screws and turned them in 90 degree increments until it was tightened. So my current build is a i9-12900k with a MSI Z690 MPG Edge Wifi DDR4 with a NZXT Kraken X73 in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 case. I have the radiator at the front and three CM120 exhaust fans at the top and a 140mm rear exhaust. The current stock idle temps are between 25C-30C. This was run at stock settings and as you can see in the very limited run of Cinebench, and the temps it was getting, the 12900k is capable of working at decent temps. I did play some World of Warcraft and didn't notice any temps to be concerned with. Again, I've not tested it without the frame, and seeing the issues others have had, this seemed like a cheap preventive fix. I highly recommend this option if you are concerned with the potential heat issues with this CPU. My only complaint with this product is that it looks very good and is completely hidden under your cooler. I went with the black one since it wouldn't be seen.

Nessun problema di installazione, nemmeno con IHS custom in rame di marca Rockit Cool. E' bastato inserire il processore e montare il telaio di contatto avvitando le viti diagonalmente, fino alla fine. Processore e scheda madri perfettamente funzionanti dopo l'installazione. Temperature di 2-3 gradi inferiori. Non sarà un risultato eccezionale come molti si aspetterebbero ma ha due vantaggi: -Di sicuro il processore non andrà da nessuna parte, e non avrà problemi di contatto e deformazione per anni - Anche quei pochi gradi in meno aiutano

Un super accessoire à installer sur son CPU. J'étais un peu septique de la plus-value de ce type d'appareil mais après avoir regardé plusieurs vidéos à ce sujet, je me suis laissé tenté et je ne suis pas déçu ! J'ai perdu entre 5 à 8° sur mes températures et, même si ce n'est pas très important, ça apporte un look vachement sympa au CPU. Je recommande ce produit.
