Bought a two pack and thought to myself well I’m sure they’ll be just fine. Turned out they were better than fine. The products were great easy to install set up and was able to put it just about anywhere. We had cameras that were 3 to 4 times more expensive than Ia view cameras and the quality is just the same if not better. Very happy with the camera and all the options and features that come with it. App is super easy to navigate. Can’t go wrong with this product. PS I had some issue with my Internet service because I had to get a new router , and had to change the pass and Wi-Fi name on the devices. I called customer support and Jesse from the tech department helped me out. Very knowledgeable professional able to walk me through it and also helped me out with some features and knowledge that I didn’t know about the camera. It was great experience working with Jesse .

*** Update on my review. I think someone else is monitoring my camera feed. I have not signed up for any monitoring services, I only use the camera to view possible trespassers and vandals as our cars have been egged a few times. I decided this morning to see if it was raining and when I opened the app for this camera I could hear noises like a pet bird as well as other noises that sounded like it was an indoor camera and I could hear movement. Not my usual outside noises like outside birds, cars driving nearby and things I normally hear on it. Just want to give everyone a heads up that your camera could be monitored by an unauthorized viewer. My internet is secure so if it's anyone I would think its someone from the LaView company. Not OK.I got this outdoor camera for security in my back yard. I can control it from the app. It has night vision, motion sensor, noise alert. When the motion sensor goes off it sends a notification to the app with a picture. Works perfectly for my needs. Set up was easy. Great value for the price.

ADT wants too much money anymore, plus they "needed" to update our system for $2k. No thank you.Went another route and bought a bunch of these cameras. Very good cameras. Lots of modes and functions for both day/night. Clear, quality picture. I use micro SD card for recording. 2-way communicating, rotating, motion tracking and much more. Cameras take lots of pictures and videos BUT need to take micro SD card out and delete on computer. (64gb SD i think stores for 3 straight months, pretty much)There's no way to do a mass deletion of memory within the app besides the pictures taken. Each camera needs daily video recordings deleted day by day by day.Some cameras are outside and i put packaging tape over the speaker holes on the back of the camera. No problems. The nighttime mode with the light on makes everything look like it's 4pm when it's dark outside.1 of the 4 cameras I bought 9 months ago(used indoors) stopped working completely and is non responsive. Had to replace it and the new identical camera doesn't have infrared mode but a B&W mode.All in all. I like them. First cameras I've ever bought so no knowledge on other systems to compare them to but I can't imagine there's better features on other systems for the price.Their indoor only cameras have a high quality and clear Pic as well.

I recently purchased the LaView 4MP Bulb Security Camera (2-pack) and I have to say, I’ve been impressed. The 355-degree view combined with 360-degree swivel provides all the flexibility I need, allowing me to monitor large areas of both the front and back yard. The security camera is wireless, and simply screws into an existing standard light fixture, making it super easy to install and use. It does require you to leave the light fixture turned on to provide continuous power to the camera, but that just makes sense and it doesn’t seem to use much electricity. Just note, you may need a socket extender if the light fixture covers any part of the camera lens as that will negatively impact the infrared night vision, even if it’s just clear glass. But that was not a big deal as extenders can be purchases from Amazon at a reasonable price.One of the things that impressed me the most is the wide angle and clarity of the 4MP camera. It provides impressive full-color images during the day and at night, it can intelligently (or you can manually) switch between infrared or starlight color mode which makes it almost look like it’s still daytime outdoors. One quick thought on this point: For a bulb camera, don’t expect to get iPhone quality images; that’s not the purpose of this product. As a security camera, the goal is to capture the largest area possible with enough detail to be aware of what is taking place in your surroundings and this product delivers that in spades. The motion detection feature is well implemented. The sensitivity can be set to the appropriate level to prevent false positives or constant alerts in high traffic areas, and the human movement detection setting is fairly accurate and further helps cut down on false alarms. It’s fun watching this little camera track a person such as a delivery driver as they walk up to the front door and drop off a package. The camera actually rotates and pivots to keep the moving target in view. That’s a very nice feature to have. The camera can be set to constantly record or only record on a detection event. If you don't want to pay for cloud storage to store these videos and images, you will need to purchase a micro-sd card to install in the camera as local storage. Fortunately, LaView provides a reasonably priced bundle that includes these cards pre-formatted.The camera contains an led light ring that lights up any moving targets at night when motion is detected according to the users desired settings. The light can also be manually switched on from the phone app. It is adequately bright for the purpose of a security camera, but if you are intending to use this product in a light fixture that you depend on frequently, I would recommend against it as it will not be as useful as a replacement for a standard light bulb.As far as durability goes, the camera seems well-built and made of quality plastics. I’m not sure how long it would hold up if directly exposed to the elements with no cover above it as provided by most outdoor light fixtures on porches and balconies. Time will tell how well it holds up outside in general, but I hope it does since I’ve come to really like this product.I was able to set up the camera in no time at all using the included instructions, and the app for the camera is available on both Android and iOS. It is intuitive and very well designed, providing all the functionality I need from a security camera in this price range. I was thrilled to find that the app can send push notifications to the Apple watch. There are more features in this product that I haven’t covered in this review, but if what I’ve already mentioned isn’t enough to persuade you to give this product a try, then I’m not sure you really need a bulb camera. Overall, I cannot recommend this product enough.
