Dear Sir Please note that I purchased this hard disk this not working

Don’t buy, after one month of use. It is showing risk of failure…

So far bought two WD blue and three WD purples and they all came brand new in the static protection bag and all made either in 2022 or 2023,all CMR, i will be trusting the seller for all future storage purchase

It should be more Secured in packing. There is a lot of chances for damages.

Check this drive before you put any data on it. It takes two minutes. On Linux: sudo smartctl -a /dev/sdX On Windows: CrystalDiskInfo Look at three fields: 1. Model. A genuine WD43PURZ reports itself as a WD Purple. The model string the drive reports must match the model printed on the label. 2. Serial number. It must match the serial on the label, and it should come back as in-warranty on the manufacturer's warranty lookup page. 3. Power-on hours. A new drive shows single digits, not thousands. Also check Total Host Writes and the SMART self-test result. The unit I received reported a different manufacturer and model than the label, 40,599 power-on hours, 344 TB written, and a failed self-test. All of that was visible before the first byte went on it. Running the check costs nothing and tells you exactly what you are holding. Do it on any drive, from anywhere.

I bought this hard and when installing it in the nvr it didn’t work

I purchases this item but no working. Also I can't get any warranty.

I got a chance to install this into my rln8-410 today, format and fire up the nvr. Little did I know that I’m only at 5.508tb after formatting. The drive or whisper quiet just like the stock Toshiba drive on it. It is much more responsive than the stock drive and maybe it’s because the drive is more optimized for nvr? As of now, I’ve got no complaints. Edit 6/14/26: After multiple days of it being use as a continuous read and write drive, I’ve come to enjoy this drive more than the stock drive. The nvr system just responds noticeably faster and I’ve yet to have any problems.

Replaced my old hard drive in my security system which had failed. This one works great!!!
