We literally have about 150 incense sticks, collected over 40 years and 3 incense holders, but very very rarely do we us them... why ? the mess they make fron the ash.As soon as I looked at this item I thought, "this is the answer !".The main component is the lovely walnut base, which has a nice brass 'holder' for suspending an incense stick and the plastic cylinder its nicely in it too.As far a sticks go you have the choice of 2 methods, either suspend it from the holder, as mentioned above, so it burns from the bottom upwards or use the 'metal (brass) holder' which has 9 holes (3 small, 3 medium and 3 large) in it, and allows the stick to burn in the conventional way, that is from top to bottom.In either case you put the 'plastic tube, with bottom' over it, which will confine the ash to the tube, then you simple empty the ash into a bin !The tube is plastic and not glass. which has it's pros and cons of course - it won't break and it is light, but it will scratch, so you have to be very careful how you clean it, I washed it out with clean soapy water then tuned it upside down on a draining rack to dry, if you use a cloth of any type you run the risk of scratching it though.Conclusion :This is a 4-in-1 holder, though in our case using a cone or candle won't be happening, but each to their own of course.We have tried both methods at holding the incense stick, and prefer suspending it downwards rather than using the brass holder, which you have to carefully lower into the cylinder (put cylinder on its side first, then slide it down to the bottom) then centralise it, either way though emptying and cleaning the cylinder is very easy.They do provide a little round silicone mat, which we used, and a small brush which we didn't use.What method you use is entirely up to you and all are 'sensible' and much safer that other holders I have seen/used, and is definitely the safest by a mile, so 5 stars from me for a good quality product, I just wish it had been available 40 years ago.Highly recommended !

Excellent design, it ensures that the ash is always collected in the tube. Dropped a star because the tube got a singe mark on it. Maybe a larger tube would be better to keep the joss stick keeps away from the tube which is plastic.

The packaging looked good, but when I opened it, the glasses inside were shattered. ☹️

We burn a lot of incense in our house and the ash getting everywhere is always an issues, this holder however is amazing at catching it and making it easier to throw away and keep clean.In the box you the wooden stand with tall metal holder built in, a small metal holder, a see through plastic tube, a round fabric coaster like stand to sit on and a small cleaning brush.On looking at the listening I had assumed the tube was glass so finding out it’s thin plastic was a little disappointing especially because it was already scratched and will likely mark easily.The stand itself is really nice though! It feels to be of good quality and holds the incense securely.When put together it looks really nice and isn’t something you need to hide away. When you light the incense the smoke gathers in the tube a little bit mainly it flows out the top and keeps the room smelling nice.When upside down the incense do burn faster, but you can have the standing up right in it as well using the small metal holder if you want a slower burn.Best of all though it really does catch all the ash and keep your side cleaner!Overall I am happy with this holder but do wish the tube had been glass, I would still recommend it though just because it does keep all the ash collected at the bottom and looks much tidier!

The glass was broken into pieces

Es ist so praktisch und die Asche von Räucherstäbchen fliegt und liegt nicht überall herum. Schade, dass das Teil aus Glas nicht aus Glas sondern Plastik ist. Sieht schnell ein wenig trüb aus. Aber für mich, die so gern Räucherstäbchen anzündet, ist es die beste Anschaffung gewesen! Würde ich nicht mehr missen wollen.

Ein schönes wie taugliches Set um in der Röhre aus transparentem Kunststoff mit abnehmbarem Deckel der Unterseite und dem verzierten Podest aus Walnussholz ein Räucherstäbchen in den Metallstab zu hängen oder eine Räucherkerze (oder ein Stäbchen) in die Fassung aus Metall zu stecken. Hier sind mehrere Kombinationen auch mit Duftkerzen oder Teelichtern usw. möglich.Dazu eine runde Unterlage aus Silikon und eine kleine Bürste um die Asche wegzufegen. Die braunen Farben wie die goldenen Elemente der Halterungen sind gut aufeinander abgestimmt, alles ist von guter Qualität gefertigt. Für einen selbst oder zum verschenken ideal.
