As stated above, this device captures high-quality video from analogue sources like VHS and laserdisc but is not capable of capturing a stereo signal, so all your transferred content will be in mono. Buyer beware.

Both the product and Technical Support were awesome. I had previously used VC500 on windows pc and received excellent tech support to get it going. Overtime, I moved to Mac. I called Tech support and the voice sounded familiar. Joseph guided me to an upgrade product for Mac (and windows) VC500SE. He emailed the instructions and required manual. Straight plug in and play. No drivers to download. I was amazed at the ease and in a week, I transferred 26 VHS tapes to Digital on Mac at my schedule. I informed other friends now. My highest appreciation for Joseph. Noteworthy is after trying to call two times on Monday, not able to leave a message and about to give up disappointed, I get a call. It was Joseph. Thereafter, it was a breeze.

Instructions for use on Mac are not super clear, had to go out to web to get better instructions

This product works really well when you use it with Quicktime. I bought it to digitize a bunch of old 8mm digital video from a camcorder. I could never get the software they offered to work and had no luck with Premiere Pro either. But it works great if you just open quicktime and choose 'New Movie Recording' if you're using a Mac.

Ordered the product a few months back and just got around to installing it. Bought the version that should work for Mac & PC, as I am a Mac user. Downloaded the software from the website included in the pamphlet. Opened each item that was downloaded and the EZ grabber is not even present, rendering the use non-existent. I want my $40 back.
