Great toy for the pool

This little fish is my kids’ favorite pool toy. Not only does it have enough weight that it can sink to the bottom, but it also is bright enough that we can easily find it under water. My kids love the light up effect that occur when it gets wet, I love that it’s easy to clean up after a day in the pool.

It looks cute, but when I put it in water, it did not do anything.

Wow did this creepy looking piranha pull on my child’s heart strings. He’s bright and colorful and I would say shows up pretty well in pool water. The light is not noticeable in bright, day sunlight but as dusk and dark approach you can appreciate it more. In the water the light comes on and out it goes off. The main body of the piranha is a hard plastic with holes to allow the water to drip out. Not something you want to hit you. He’s hard for sure. It’s not like one of those soft pool toss toys I guess is my point. But the fin and tail are soft and a fabric material. The material does dry quickly and they are helpful for little hands to hold. I am pleased with the size of this piranha. He’s appropriate for the pool and tub. I wouldn’t recommend him in murky water (pond, lake, river, ocean, etc). He even got lots of attention after pool time and was carried around for the rest of the day. He’s a lovable little pool toy apparently and a new staple to our pool bag.

The toy works as described and does light up when submerged in water. The LED is a bit hard to see outdoors as it was not as bright as expected. The green plastic material seems like it would scratch easily around a pool. It does look like the stock photo.
