FOLLOWIN Gloss Black Rim Touch Up Paint, Car Wheel Scratch Repair Kit

I purchased this black wheel touch-up paint to repair a few scratches and curb rash on my rims, and I’m very pleased with the results. The paint matched my black wheels extremely well and covered the damaged areas better than I expected. Application was simple, and the paint dried quickly with a smooth finish. After it cured, the repairs blended in nicely and were barely noticeable. It saved me from having to pay for an expensive wheel repair or replacement. For anyone looking to restore the appearance of black rims, this product is a great value and easy to use. I would definitely buy it again and highly recommend it.

Worked great on 2019 corvette black rims!

To make it look as good as possible, make sure you clean the area with isopropyl alcohol sand off the curb rashes until it is as smooth as possible. Start with a light coat. Let it dry for a 2 minutes and reapply several coats. I did 5 coats and the result was great. If you want professional results and want it to be completely smooth like factory, it is possible, just takes more work. What you want to do is, after sanding off the crub rashes, use a spot putty, like Bondo putty to fill in and completely smooth out the curb rashes. After applying the Bondo putty, dry it with a heat gun until the putty is solidified. It'll take about 15 mintes. Then apply the paint and your rim will be restored to factory like condition. I might do the putty in a couple of days and update this review with results but as of now, this is good enough. Since I have gloss black rims, it is very difficult to tell from a distance anyway.

Cubre muy bien

I was looking for a powder coat paint to repaint an item that gets plenty of use and the original paint has worn off. I was looking for something that has an easy application that I can paint and go. I saw this- gave it a shot. I started using this and found not enough consistency with the original paint. I looked and saw they included 2 strips of sandpaper. I used the sandpaper and took off most of the original paint and repainted it. Granted some of the original paint couldn’t be removed but has blended in nicely with the new paint. It came out better. I added additional layers and it became better. It is a tacky texture after an hour but it feels better after it has completely dried. After it has dried- that’s when you can add an additional coat(s) of paint. Lessons learned- use the sandpaper before painting- wait a day before adding coats- add coats of paint to improve the finish of the paint.

White Bottle came all dried up, and product is clumpy due to it all being dried. I do not recommend this product.

This item is great for when I need to fix my wheel wells. Hitting curbs. Hides my mistakes
