I'm using these not for a "book shelf" but for a people shelf! My boat lift needed a little bridge from the seawall to the boat to facilitate loading and boarding. i had tried others but this seems to be ridged enough to support my weight and solve my problem. I added a second hole for mounting near the top of the bracket for extra strength. Probably not required for "books and such".

Purchase for a saltwater fishing vessel
I purchased these to replace brackets on my boat. I will see how they go during this fishing season. They are stainless steel. I will report back in the fall of 2025 on how they held up during a fishing season. They do look well built and sturdy . Again if I remember I will report back in the fall I 2025

Rough around the edges but perfect for a shop
These appear to be cut by punch press instead of waterjet/laser, the holes are very sharp. If you have the time/energy they should be deburred. We installed them in a shop environment where it's less of a problem.

seem sturdy enough
the brackets seem sturdy enough. i plan on mounting these with a shelf to set a TV on. The TV weighs close to 100 pounds, it's a plasma TV from around 2005. I do not trust the screws they sent for the brackets. I am going to the hardware store to pick up lug screws. I hope it does hold the TV okay. It's one I have in the basement that is not used very often.
