Amazing qualty, design and size.
This product arrived in a banded cardboard box. The quality and design of the books is excellent. The children are just getting to the reading stage now so we could not wait to get these for them. They are as good as you remember. A great way to start learning to read. Big letters and lots of repetition. Perfect. The girls love them. Highly recommned. Great price point.

Classic book set that is proven by time!
A timeless classic that I remember reading 40 years ago, I recently purchased this for my 8 year old son who sits with me to read these quite happily after school for 10 mins a day. Iโve really seen a massive improvement since we started and his confidence level has gone up 300%

One of my best investments for 4 year old who reads
I bought this set after being given a single hands me down of level 1a book on which my 4 year old son quickly learned to read the nice big words. I cannot emphasise enough just how important and comfortable if makes it if the font and letter size is large for the early learning books (which this is). When I compare with the Mr Men series I bought this is a hundred times better because the Mr Men used tiny font size and too many words on one page and more importantly did not build up on the difficulty of the key words. The key words are great in Peter and Jane as they are simple enough to learn with the use of phonics and furthermore the repetitive nature of it means the child learns. A worthwhile investment that has in my opinion already paid off. The 1960s style pictures didn't out me off but did attract some funny questions from my 4 year old that I had to explain.

Extremely helpful books for my son with ASD and severe learning disability
After 7 years in special school my son has not learned to read using phonics. I knew he could recognise hundreds of words when he was 6 years old so was a bit frustrated that he wasnโt making any progress in school. Two months ago, I decided to give these books a try and started reading few pages with my son every day. Now, we are on book 4 and Iโm very impressed with his progress. Reading the short sentences even helps with his speech!!! I highly recommend it.

Wonderful
I tried four different sets on the market for my kids without much success, then I came across these. they are very old fashioned and probably not politically correct but they really work. They use a "Key Word" system that the children grasp immediately. This is a UK product but there is little difference. It works so well that three of my grandchildren learned to read by it. The copies are now so dogeared that I have bought a new set for my latest grandchild. They are little books so the kids can hold them easily and not very long to read. The delight when they complete the first one is wonderful. " I can read a whole book" Buy them, you will not regret it.

Well thought books with repetitive words
Well thought books. I have introduced only first 3 books in the series to my 5.8 years old child. These are confidence boosting books for young readers. The books are expensive but now I think worth the money spent. I thought the repetitive words might be boring for my kid but actually it helped him to become confident reader. The illustrations in the books are not at all cartoonish, funky or crazy but realistic but fortunately my son liked them as well. My kid is learning to read with jolly phonics in his school. And this book is based on repetitive sight words. So when he needs any help I teach him words with jolly phonics method. Most important thing for me is that once he has leant new words, he insists that he wants to read the whole book on his own.
