Quality OUTSTANDING & easy to install, though expensive.
Ease of use? These cartridges could not be easier to use. You literally plop them into the printer and you're good to go. In the "old days" you had to pull out a plastic strip before installing them but you don't even need to do that anymore. The quality the comes out of these cartridges is outstanding using my LaserJet Pro MFP 4301dfw printer. The off brand cheap cartridges are definitely NOT worth it. Yes, they are cheaper, but so is the color, the crispness of the text and they are far more likely to do damage to your printer than the real deal ones from HP. Yes, the cartridges are frighteningly expensive, but at the end of the day, they are worth it, especially the X high yield cartridges which go for a long, long time before needing replacement.

There really is a difference ..
Not cheap but there is a difference. I first purchased some much cheaper off brand toner cartridges in hopes of saving a few bucks but quickly realized that the quality of the genuine HP cartridges is unmatched. True colors and high quality print make all the difference.

Love it
It last me a long time. I would say almost 2 months and I do a lot of printing between contracts and other papers. I recommend the X because it has more toner. Very easy to change the toner if you have never done it

Worked great, but too expensive
This was the first replacement cartridge after the OEM toner that came with the new 4-in-1 printer was low. I wanted to stick with HP toner. Now my 4 colors are low again and while I'd prefer HP toner, I'm just not going to spend $1000 on the 4 toner cartridges when I can buy a whole new machine for less than that. So this time I'm trying a generic brand for about $120 for ALL 4 colors and praying that they work well. Come on HP, the price of your toner is insane! At least have a 4 pack we can buy at a discounted price to entice us to continue using OEM toner.

over priced
So over-all I think HP's toner cartridges are way way way over priced but really no choice once you buy the printer. I spent nearly $942 USD for 4 toners. I think it would be smart to figure out a way to reload the existing toners with more toner instead of purchasing new cartridges (seriously HP, that is NOT environmentally friendly)
