The product arrived very quickly and was well packaged. In the box you get the radio, mounting bracket with thumb turn screws, foam pads to stop the bracket rubbing on the radio body, self tapping screws to fasten the bracket to the vehicle, 2 metre approx. power lead with inline fuse, spare fuse, keypad microphone, programming cable and user guide. My user guide was in German, however the guys at Retevis provided me with the English download. The radio looks professionally designed and assembled. The centre piece is the colour display, which while small is easily readable and displays everything you need. 2 S meters can be displayed when in dual watch mode, they look great. Functions are selected via 6 programmable buttons, all very easy to set up. Note that there is no fan on the radio, the body does get warm particularly if you are transmitting on 25W for any length of time. The speaker is mounted on the underside of the radio and the audio quality is excellent. Minor drawback is that you can only use 5 character channel names on the display. This is OK if you are setting up repeaters, e.g. GB3HG, as they fit perfectly, but would be better if this could be longer. It is very easy to perform Reverse Repeater, i.e. listen on the input of a repeater to determine if you can work a station simplex. This sets it aside from some of the other "amateur" radios available for a few pounds less. Note that whilst you have a dual watch feature you do not have two independent receivers. If you are receiving on one bank the other bank is not available. The hand microphone has a good rugged feel to it and is well illuminated for easy operation in the dark. I'm not sure why the A/B button has to be so large! The LEDs on the microphone indicate which Dual Watch bank you are using, and separate LEDs illuminate either red or green to show when you are transmitting or receiving on each bank. The handset also has a built in speaker that can be turned on / off by the radio software. On the side is the PTT button, up/down buttons and a lock slide switch to stop you changing frequency inadvertently. Yes, you can send DTMF from the keypad, and there are 4 programmable buttons there too. I've had good reports of transmission quality. All in all a very good radio at a very good price.

Great radio it's a superb buy for any ham operator works really well, I use primarily as a home station but easily transferred to the car when needed.

Excellent value for money, clear sound, well laid out controls, good sensitivity and handy programming capabilities with a connected PC. The included antenna isn't the best, but it's a small mag mount and probably better on a car using the roof as a ground plane that in my application at the top of the house.

I bought the Retevis RT95 as I was looking for a cheapish VHF/UHF transceiver for a project I was working on. Out of the box I was surprised how compact and lightweight the unit was. With a price point of around £100, I am happy with performance so far however its power output falls slightly below the advertised power, which really does not make too much difference. It is of a rugged build with the metal chassis acting as a fairly good heat sink. The display can be turned through 180-degree; allowing for different mounting positions. The Adjustable Power Output Offers 5W (low), 15W (medium), and 25W (high) options however I found best I got in high range was 22Watts mind that not allowing for any faults in the power meter. I also like that you can control the radio on the Microphone as well as the main body with audio being routed to a microphone speaker. The radio come provided with a programming cable; however at this stage I have not tried to programmer the radio. The radio has a dual watch function which is sufficient for my needs, it seem to switch between two channels with no problems The radio has no fan relying on the heat sensor to reduce power if overheating occurs. With no Data point I experimented running my packet node (MB7NBG) using a homemade cable thrugh the microphone socket; mid power it worked ok but at full power it kept reducing power as it overheated and tripped the sensor. Overall I am pleased with it, and have had very few issues operating it.

As a Foundation License holder this radio transmits at my max permitted power of 25watts but will also transmit at 5 or 15w if low or medium power selected. Plenty of functionality and the hand mic makes selecting the frequency, channel, power and volume a doddle. The 2x 6 soft keys are user selectable and easy to use. I currently using this as a base station with a 13.8v power supply but still toying with aerials as my location is not great. I have used CHIRP to programme the radio which allows me to share channel settings with my handheld.

Bought this to sit in the shack not having to move in and out of the car. A cracking little radio hooked up to x50 antenna. Solid build easy to use and setup. Great price

Arrived with a non-functioning internal speaker. The mic speaker worked fine. Sent back for a refund. Looking to buy something else like a Yaesu UHF/VHF rig or HT.

Preis Leistung top, das Gerät macht einen Hochwertigen Eindruck durch die neue Firmware wurde auch die zu geringe Modulation behoben das nun in 3 Stufen im Menü verstellt bzw. Angepasst werden kann. Empfänger arbeitet wie er soll die Leistung ist auch in 3 Stufen schaltbar wobei die max Leistung bei 25 Watt liegt! Ein sehr schönes Gerät was auch durch Farbdisplay sowie von der Verarbeitung und Anschaffungs Preis sehr zu empfehlen ist. Was zu bemängeln wäre, die Firmware steht nicht zum Download bereit wie bei anderen Herstellern ebenfalls war in der Vorgänger Version RT95 (PC Programm) möglich das S-Meter zu kalibrieren was jetzt im Programm RT95 VOX (neue Programmierungs Software) nicht mehr funktioniert! Wer mit diesem kleinen Mangel leben kann erhält hier definitiv ein sehr gelungenes Gerät.
